Tris POV:
The shock waves from the explosion hit the train blowing wet dust in our faces. I stare at the fire ball out in the distance getting smaller and smaller leaving smoke to take its place. It was to far away to tell what it was, but we all know what it was. It can't be anything other than the wall. Someone is trying to blow up the wall. Lightning flashes above us leaving thunder in it's wake. Rain continues to blow into our faces further soaking us.
This situation is getting out of control. All Tobias said yesterday was that we can't leave yet. Now, someone has lots of explosives and is trying to blow up the wall.
"I think we know were Marcus is now." Tori says under her breath. Tobias just looks at her like she just stated the obvious. Ryan goes back to sit down in his little corner at the back of the train. Something about this guy just makes me feel uneasy.
"Well looks like the train ride is going to take a bit longer than we thought." Uriah says. I nod in agreement.
"We will have to jump off half way there, were the train tracks cross. That way we can get closer to the wall." Tobias adds. Christina just is still too shocked to speak. She crossed the train car followed by Tori and Uriah. Uriah sits really close to Christina. I wonder if there is something going on there. Uriah leans over to whisper something in Christina's ear, and whatever he said snapped her out of her state of shock. She leans her head on his shoulder and closes her eyes.
When I realise I have been staring to long, I look back out the window. The city buildings are getting smaller as we near the countryside. Tobias grabs my waist and pulls me to him. I rap my arms around him. The thud of his heart is strong against his chest. Which reminds me about his shoulder.
"Hey," I say as I look up at him. "How is your shoulder?" I ask, because we left in a big hurry. We all kind of forgot about it. At the shoulder comment Ryan lifts his head and looks at us.
"It hurts, but I think I'll be ok." He says. To be honest I don't think that he wanted to bring up any concern. Ryan can tell there is something else going on, so he digs through his back pack. He pulls out some bandages and stands up. Tobias must hear it, because his face becomes filled with annoyance and almost a bit of fear. Tobias really doesn't like Ryan touching him.
I step back so Tobias can take off his shirt. He takes it off and then just hands it to Ryan, who is standing right next to me. I turn around to go back to sit down, but Tobias comes forward and raps his arms around my waist. He is preventing me from sitting down and is going to be really stubborn about this. "Tobi..." I start
"Shhhhhh" he whispers into my ear. Ryan starts to figure out a way to take Tobias's old bandages off while he is hugging me. Tobias's body warms me as the cool air blows rain into the train.
Ryan steps in front of me so he is looking at both of us. " You are going to need antibiotics whenever we come across any." He says. His face suggested that there might be something else going on. " You may get an infection, Oh, and," he takes out an eye dropper out of his pocket. It looks like the one Tobias got for me when we were at Amity. I was shot then, and that eye dropper helped me through the pain. I come to the conclusion that it must be pain killers.
He goes to apply it on Tobias's shoulder, and I feel the tension leave his arms. He hands me the eye dropper so he doesn't have to do it every two hours like the label says to do. Ryan quickly re-raps Tobias's shoulder and hands me the shirt on his way to go sit back down. I never noticed before, but Ryan is about the same height as me. He is way more muscular though. He needs a haircut though, because his long blond hair is too shaggy and unkempt. He is also wearing red like Amity, but based on his medical experience, he has got to be from Erudite.
