I decided to add Brecken POV too I think it is better to describe The Republic, being that Tris and Four have only been there for six weeks and don't know that much about The Republic.

Tobias POV:

Ryan lifts up the plate and crawls out of the sewer. He then reaches down to help pull up Uriah, who is next in line. I pull myself up the ladder and over crawl out of the sewer. I have to admit it smells much better here than in the sewer. I stand up and take in my new surroundings. I'm in an alleyway, there are tall buildings surrounding us, it's pitch black, and silent.

I come to realize that these surroundings are not that new to me. A sigh escapes my mouth and then Ryan hits me in the shoulder. I wince and look right at him with my fist up. My shoulder is mostly healed, that didn't hurt at all. It just ticked me off. I've been very tense lately.

Ryan shrugs his shoulders and puts his finger on his lips. He turns around silently walks ahead. We all follow him, but distance from each other just in case we get caught. We round the corner of a building and I hear two consecutive knocks on a door, a pause, and then another knock. The door then opens and Ryan walks in, then the rest of us follow. I close the door behind me since I'm the last on in.

Brecken stands there smiling and happy to see us. He turns and walks down up the stairs and stops at the very first door on the right. This must be another apartment complex. Brecken fishes for something in his pocket and pulls out a key. He takes the key and unlocks the door. We all follow him into the one bedroom apartment.

"Listen, this is a small apartment. There are people below us, to the left of us, and above us. Do not make any noise at all at night. During the day, all children go to school, and all adults work. So then you guys are safe." He puts extra emphasis on the words all children and all adults as he whispers. "There are mats in the closet along with blankets, the bedroom is mine, and a couch." he  tells us as he walks into the bedroom. Ryan follows him to tell him something.

I look at Tris, Uriah, Caleb, and Christina. They are already grabbing mats to sleep on. We have been walking all night and we are exhausted. I go and pick up a mat and a blanket. I place my mat by Tris's mat and set my blanket down. I place my backpack by my feet and take my holster off. I hold mt holster in my hand and look at the words branded on the leather. My name and the word Dauntless were branded on for me by someone in the camp, before he was shot last week. I set it by my backpack and lay down. I take the blanket ant pull it over Tris and I. I rest my arm over Tris, who is already half asleep. Then, I close my eyes and drift to sleep.

Ryan POV:

"What do you mean the factions are here?" I ask in my whispering argument with Brecken. "When are you going to tell Tobias?"

"In the morning. We can't do anything right now anyway. It's curfew, and you know what The Republic guards do to you if they catch you after curfew?" He lectures. The thought of being beaten by The memory of The Republic soldiers runs in my head, and the time I decided I was going to sneak out after curfew when I was younger. The thought of the soldiers making contact to my face with their fists still runs clear in my head. I shudder at the memory.

"Yeah" I say. "We need more people though in the rebel forces. The remaining people from the Chicago Project are perfect for that. You know that." I say back to him.

"We can't do it right now. The security in the city is high right now, because there are Chicago Project factions here. The Republic knows we are after the extra recruits." He reasons with me.
