One night I had a dream. Dreams were normal for me well...nightmares were. But this was different. This wasn't a nightmare but it wasn't really a dream either. It was fuzzy and confusing and the worst thing of all. I t felt so real.
Ahead of me was a large tennis court that stretched out as far as the eye could see. The court was a luscious green colour and I slowly noticed that the two people playing were my two best friends Laura and my other friend who plays tennis professionally, Emily. I was sat in the center of a short row of black plastic chairs but oddly enough there was no one else sat in these chairs. The tennis game between my two best friends never ended it went on the entire time the dream was running. The game had my full intention until....
"Hello Charlie." Said him. His thick Canadian accent rang in my ears until I looked over. No. It couldn't be. Scared, I quickly got up scraping the black plastic chair across the floor with me. He slowly turned his head so that he was watching the tennis game.
"Calm down I'm not going to hurt you. Is this what you dream of Charlie?"
"You're not real. You died a month ago. This is a dream."
"Well done. Your right this isn't real. I am dead Sit down I just want to talk."
"I can make you go away you know. If this is a dream i can just think you away."
"Yes you could do that but your not going to are you? Your too intrigued."
Cautiously I sat down one seat away from him just to be sure he couldn't do anything.
"Okay what do you want?"
"To talk to you about what your going to do."
"What are you on about?"
"Are you going to tell your parents? You know it'll destroy them. Julie is happy. Do you want to ruin that?"
"No, you can relax I'm not going to tell them I know it'll hurt them."
"Okay good."
Emily and Laura continued to play their game. They were both laughing and smiling.
"Why?" I asked.
"Why what?"
"Why did you do it?"
"It doesn't matter. You wouldn't understand."
"Tell me now." I raised my voice angrily. Slowly a cruel smile spread across his face and...
I woke up. What the hell was that about? His message. Don't tell them. And he was right. It would break their hearts. I couldn't tell them. Ever...
