Authors notes: Hey guys sorry I haven't updated for a while I was away on holiday in Italy but I'm back now. I hope you like this chapter if you couldn't have guessed already from the title this is from the point of view of 4 year old Charlie.
I was woke up by the creaking outside of my door. Most days started like this when he visited. I loved it when he visited yet I hated it. I was so confused but I had other things to worry about. I had a spelling test that day what I was incredibly worried about.
He opened the door quietly and slowly, I never understood why he did it that. He said a while ago it's because he didn't want to wake up mummy and daddy. It's very kind of him.
"Morning Sweetheart." He gave me a toothy grin and proceeded to sit down on the bed.
"Morning" I said smiling up at him. Next he started to ask me questions about my day which I answered willingly as I talked he did what he usually did. He started to touch me once again. This was a normal procedure. Every morning. After school. Before bed.
It was 7:30 am and I had gotten dressed my mum helped me brush my teeth and I brushed through my short wavy brown hair. Uncle Gareth was making me, Julie and James eggy soldiers as he did every morning, he knew it was my favorite.
"Come on guys get your shoes on Uncle Gareth is taking you to school today."
No change their he took us every morning so that mummy and daddy could work. As Uncle Gareth put his hand on my shoulder Toffee ran up to him and Uncle Gareth nearly tripped over him releasing me.
"That bloody cat" He murmured under his breath. I allowed myself to giggle slightly at how proud Toffee looked of himself, I loved him so much.
It took 10 minutes to walk to school from where we lived. I was in foundation and I wasn't the sharpest knife in the draw.
The day went quickly as the majority of the day was playing outside and counting to fifty.
By 3:15 p.m. we were being picked up by the school gate by Uncle Gareth. It took 10 minutes to walk home and only 5 minutes for him to start the touching again. The majority of after school was taken up by this. It was always the same. Everyday. It was like a routine now. I'd gotten used to it. My parents weren't home until late so it was just us four in the house for hours. I was aware that this happened to Julie but I didn't know when, it felt like he was with me 24/7. By 7:30 pm my parents were home and were cooking dinner. James was upstairs and me and Julie were playing with plastic horses on the floor. Uncle Gareth was on the sofa partly watching the TV and partly watching us.
"Hey why aren't you guys hugging Uncle Gareth?"
The million dollar question.
My mummy waited until uncle Gareth spoke.
"I don't mind who hugs me next" He said jokingly. Why didn't he want mummy to see? I should ask him some time.
"I want to play horses more." Julie said.
She doesn't like it. She doesn't want to hug him. I think she's scared. I can help her. Protect her.
"I'll hug him." I said happily getting up from the floor. But for one of the first times since it started I felt uncomfortable doing it. Was it wrong? It can't be an adult is doing it and I can trust adults that's what mummy and daddy say.
But if this is true why do I want to disobey an adult?
