Authors notes: Hey guys we hit over 800 reads! Thank you all so much for reading this story I never imagined it hitting this many reads so thank you guys soooo much. This chapter is a little bit different to my other ones and it'll be about how Charlie met all of her friends.

Laura

It was my second day of secondary school and nervously I walked towards the drama block where I had my first lesson of the day. I glanced down at my planner and looked towards the teachers name who would be teaching me.

"Hmm Mr Worn best he's going to be a bundle of joy." Quietly I mumbled to myself as I got nearer the class. Quickly, I got closer to the drama block where I'd meet my first proper friend.

A few minutes later I was standing outside the drama block surrounded by a group of kids who happened to be getting on well although obviously they were not friends. They were segregated into the normal groups. The populars. The chavs. The inbetweeners and the nerds.

Slowly I began to close my eyes as I heard the gravel crunch underneath me and a voice chimed in my ear.

"Hey I'm Laura what's your name?" She was eager and most probably slightly nervous.

I opened my eyes and turned to her deciding whether to talk to her for the rest of the lesson or until the teacher turned up.

"Hey I'm Charlie ." A broad smile came across her face and she quickly grabbed my hand.

"Can we be best friends?" Nervous laughter came out of my mouth at her odd action and request. This could be interesting may as well stick around for a while...

Gail

It was the winter evening of the year 2009 and I was crammed up onto the sofa watching scooby doo while trying not to fall asleep.

Suddenly the doorbell rang and a voice boomed from upstairs.

"CHARLIE THAT'S MAYA'S SISTER GAIL CAN YOU OPEN THE DOOR AND LET HER IN PLEASE SHE'S PICKING UP MAYA!" Did I say boomed? Maybe yelled would be a better word. Begrudgingly I got up from my warm spot and went to unlock the door. A thin pale girl stood at the doorway, this must be Gail. She had shoulder length light brown hair and she was wearing a dark blue football outfit.

"Hey Maya is upstairs just getting ready come in."

"Thanks." Her voice sounded raspy and quiet yet it had a hint of confidence behind it.

Several minutes later Julie came down with Maya both giggling with a private joke they would refuse to tell me about.

Julie's voice came to life as she sat down on the sofa next to me as Maya and Gail left.

"Hey you and Gail may have a lot in common she's going to the same secondary school as you you two could be friends?"

"Perhaps we'll see closer to the time."

Simon

I was now in year 8 and I was heading to my maths class that I'd now been in a couple of times. The corridors were crowded and the teachers were quickly herding their students into the classrooms a lot like a Sheppard would with sheep. As soon as I entered the class I shuffled past the populars and got to my seat where I knew I was safe. Gail and Laura sadly weren't in my class so I didn't have my best friends with me but with the teacher I had that was a good thing. If we talked even slightly she would kill us.

"Okay guys we got a new student today this is Simon I hope you'll make him feel welcome ecetra ecetra..."

I began to look up from my work to analyse the new student. He was a lot taller than me with wild curly ginger hair that you could tell he was trying to tame.

"Okay Simon you can sit next to Charlie there's an empty seat next to her."

Feeling slightly nervous that I had to talk to someone new and slightly interested I moved my stuff over so that he would have some desk room.

He quickly flicked his head around towards me hitting me in the neck with his hair while he was at it. And he began to speak.

"So how would cover up a murder?"...this was going to be interesting...

Lucy

The advantage of being in year 8 and having to do Rs is that the teachers don't expect you to do that much work and they mostly set you projects that you don't end up doing.

This was my fourth rs class for this year and it wasn't any different to any other rs lesson. I would sit next to a girl called Lucy that miss told me to sit next to and next to her was the jokester of the class called Ross.

Lucy's personality was a bit odd and she always seemed to be excitable about the smallest of things. She would normally have catering before Rs so she was always covered in flour and raw dough.

"Okay guys we're doing a project today so get into group between two to four please."

Me and Laura immediately looked at each other and we were speaking to each other with our eyes. We nodded to each other at the same time to agree we were working together and I moved to go to sit with her.

I clambered over chairs to get to her work station like bear grylls would over mount Everest...okay maybe not that epic but you get the picture.

Something didn't feel right I looked back over to my work station and saw Lucy there with a sad expression on her face and sitting alone. She looked as though she was about to cry. I thought she had some friends in this class. At least one but apparently not. My heart broke for her I knew exactly how she felt feeling alone like she didn't belong there...

"Hey Lucy come work with us."
