Authors notes: Sorry it's been a while since I've updated I've just been so busy and I've been working on my new story (which if you haven't read yet I'd really love you too and hear feedback :D).
Some nights I wish I didn't need sleep. I wish that I didn't have to close my eyes and drop into a pit of despair and distress. I can never truly describe to you what a nightmare like this feels like, no one can understand it unless you've experienced it. You feel as if you are alone and I don't mean typical teenager boo hoo I'm all alone in the world I mean you're cut of from everything you know and understand. You feel as if you are being teared apart shred by shred, you're screaming in your head but nobody else can hear you...apart from you.
*Beep beep* *Beep beep*. The gray clouds peaked through my blinds and windows as I pulled the restricting duvet further up my head. Eventually I sat up from my bed and looked around my cream coloured room. Something was wrong but I couldn't see it. Nothing was physically wrong with my room yet I peered around and something was different. Fuzzy. What was this?
My feet made contact with my green coloured floor and even the material felt unnatural. I was so exhausted last night that I fell asleep in my normal clothes. I was wearing denim jeans with a black vest top with my hair in a messy bun. The temperature in the room had dropped and then seconds later risen again. What was this?
Soon I was out of my room ready to see what was going on and where my family had gotten to. The house was completely empty and when I mean completely empty I mean completely empty. All of the paintings that normally decorated the landing connected to my room were gone. The beds from all of the bedrooms had disappeared and there were no windows anywhere, I went back into my room but the window that was there a few seconds earlier had now gone. What was this?
The stairs remained the same apart from the baby pictures of me, Julie and James that hung from the wall next to them. Downstairs there was one wooden chair occupied by a body, there was once again no windows, no piano and no doors to the outside world. The person in the chair was female and short. She had brown hair worn up in a pony tail and she was dressed in completely black.
"You're awake then Charlie." Said the girl in black.
"Who the fuck are you? What's going on? Where are my family?" Cautiously I walked closer to the girl.
"We killed them Charlie." I stood frozen in my steps. My blood turned ice cold when I saw who it was. It was me.
This girl was identical to me but she had cuts all over her and blood was on her face.
"No I didn't that's impossible I've been asleep."
She stood up from her wooden chair and paced towards me. Suddenly my mum, my dad, my sister and my brother appeared dead on the floor. Blood was everywhere over the light coloured carpet and invisible daggers were soon in my heart.
"What have you done?"
A laugh escaped from my identical copy.
"What have I done? Don't you mean what have we done. Charlie we are two halves made a whole. I am you. And you are me."
"You're wrong this is just a dream one of my nightmares." I slowly took a breath in and quick breath out to comfort myself.
"Now that." Charlie began pointing at me. " Is absolutely correct. This is just a dream but... it'll come true... eventually."
"I'm not evil like you I would never hurt anyone!" I said raising my voice slightly.
"Charlie Charlie Charlie now that's a lie isn't it? What 11 year old nearly stabs an old man? Call me evil if you like but I'm what you are going to turn into. You know you're evil. You know you are."
"You're wrong I had no choice and besides I didn't even kill him I only...nearly did..."
Suddenly, a sharp sting met my face and I fell onto the floor confused slightly and slightly scared.
"You can't escape me Charlie this is what you're going to become and there's nothing you can do to fight it!"
*Beep beep* *Beep beep*. Gasping loudly I jolted out of my bed falling against the wall. I was thankful that my hair was up to prevent my head from completely smashing into the wall. That's when I realized my hair was in a pony tail not a messy bun...
