Authors notes: I can't believe we hit 500 reads! I'm so happy this story has gotten this far. I want to thank you all soooo much for reading and I love you all! I hope you enjoy this chapter and I'm sorry if it sounds rushed but I'm not in a great place at the moment. :)

The next morning I woke up to my alarm going off again. 7 p.m. Just stay down Charlie. What's the point in getting up? I have school I have to get up. Simon may need me. Who cares he doesn't even like you.

I slowly got out of bed and put my school clothes on. I did the cereal trick as soon as I got down stairs so my parents wouldn't get suspicious.  What's the cereal trick I hear you ask? Why I'll tell you. Oh my god can you even hear yourself? The cereal trick is where you trick your parents into thinking you've eaten breakfast. You see my parents would notice if there weren't enough bowls that have been used for breakfast so, I had to get creative. Quietly I crept out of my bedroom and checked if everyone was busy so they wouldn't walk in to the kitchen while I was doing it. The cupboard that held the cereal creaked slightly as I opened it, I grabbed the rice krispes and poured a few of them into the bottom of the bowl. Then I added a slight bit of milk to give the impression that the cereal had been soaked in milk. I then poured milk all over the spoon to show it had been soaked in milk as well.

After I escaped my house after being questioned if I had lunch I got into school and went straight to the library. Straight away I saw Gail there talking with another boy called Josh. I wasn't close friends with Josh but I would have liked to be. He was a funny character.

"Morning."

"Morning" They chimed at the same time like twins. "So how are you two thi..." I was interrupted by the librarian.

"Can you two please help me move these book s to my car?" She directed this question at Gail and Josh. I wasn't surprised that she directed this at Gail, Gail was her golden child and she absolutely loved her. But, Josh?! Did she seriously care about Josh more than me?! What was wrong with me? I felt so angry and sad at the same time. Did she care about me that little?

"I can help too."

"No it's fine I only need two people."

All three of them walked off leaving me alone. I know this may seem stupid to you but it hurt okay. I wanted to help and she hated me so she didn't ask me. I felt so alone.

First period I had DT in the computer suit, the teacher was off so we had a supply teacher what was good. Maybe the day would get better. Oh how wrong was I.

About ten minutes into the lesson Simon's face started to go pale like he'd seen a ghost. His eyes went partly red and I could tell he was once again close too tears.

"Simon, what's wrong do you want me to take you to the nurses?"

"No I'm fine don't worr..." He was stopped mid sentence by him having to cover his mouth so that he wouldn't throw up.

"That's it I'm taking you to the nurse."

My hand jolted into the air faster than a cheetah on steroids. I caught the attention of the teacher quickly.

"Miss I need to take him to the nurse he's going to throw up."

We got out of class immediately and we headed to the nurses office. Half way there I had to half carry Simon because he was so faint. He was crying by now and slightly delusional.

"Charlie, I'm going to die aren't I?"

"No, of course you're not going to die. You can beat this."

"What happens if I don't? I don't want to die."

This was breaking my heart. How could this be happening Simon was a good person. He didn't deserve this. No one did.

The nurses took Simon then I went back to class blissfully unaware that things would get worse.

The day went quickly with boring lessons and boring teachers. Everyone asked if Simon was okay and what was wrong so I plastered on a fake smile and said yeah he was fine. Lunch was the next stage of hell. We were all eating in Penny's tutor group's room and everything was bliss until I had to ruin it...

Penny and Laura were talking about something that I didn't quite understand. A man named Marcel was messaging Laura. He was originally younger than he actually was then later confessed to Laura his real age. Laura and Penny saw this a joke at the time so I went on full on mother mode at them. I lost two friends. I was just looking out for her. I was worried. I cared about her. I loved her.

Time was slow. The cars were fast. I watched the cars drive past. Do it. There's nothing to live for. Do it. Slowly I leaned forward and...
