Chapter 4

DANS POV

I was lost, that's kinda obvious. There was a hotel across the road with light streaming out some of the windows and cars parked outside, not in the car park. I crossed the street, narrowly missing a car that swung around the corner at the last second.

The inside of the hotel was nice, not too fancy but there were tables and sofas and it all kinda looked shiny. I walked towards the desk where a woman was standing on the phone. She finished her phone call in little time and turned to me.

"Hello." She said with a tired tone of voice.

"Um, hi. Can I get a room for 1, please?" I was trying to be polite even though I could feel a migraine forming.

"Yes, how long will you be staying?" She asked while looking at her computer.

"Um... That's the problem. I don't know. 2 weeks?" I asked.

"Okay, that's £750. For this week, pay this again next week." She said while handing me my keys.

"Thanks." I say as I turn around. This time I come face to face with Phil... oh no. He had no right to hug me before so why is he just standing behind me? I move around him with a polite "Excuse me." and I half walk half run to the elevator to get away from him. But unfortunately Phil had already got what he wanted from the desk and was now a few steps behind me, the elevator doors wouldn't close fast enough and Phil was closing the gap. He got in just in time and he let out a sigh of relief whereas I held my breath as moves to stand next to me. I shove my hands in my pockets and try to make myself look taller, which isn't hard seeing as I am. It was awkward, to say the least. I finally got to floor 5 and basically ran out the door to find my room. Phil was hot in my heels, walking just behind me. He stopped 2 doors away from mine and pulled his keys out not saying anything, I opened my door and slipped in. My back slid down the wall and I rested my head between my knees, why did this happen to me? What did I do to deserve this? I just broke up with Martin because Philly came back, what makes Phil so special?

I got up and moved to my bed and lay down with my hands over my eyes. This was a bad, bad day.
