Martin's POV

it had been a week or two since Dan had ran away at the restaurant and I became reacquainted with my parents. They acted like they loved me, like they didn't give me away. They acted like they cared. How I loath them. I hope I never have to see them again, I really do.

I opened my front door and walked into my small apartment wishing that Dan would just appear right there. And he did. He was bent over a suitcase, trying to close it. There were crutches on his arms and a cast on his leg; what did I do? Did he do this because of me? Did he do this to get away from me?

Too many thoughts were running through my head making me feel dizzy, I turned and left closing the door behind me hoping he didn't hear. I walked back down the stairs and ran out the door my thoughts a mess. I sped down the road and stopped at the curb, I moved my hand towards my face and it felt wet. I was crying.

The tears just kept running and I was walking down the roads in a manic state, unsure of what to do and where to go. I ended up outside a Starbucks after a while and I went in. It was warm inside and smelled of coffee.

I walked to the counter not caring that people were staring at my tear stained face but I just wanted to dig a hole and crawl into it.

"Uh, hi. Can I have the strongest coffee you have?" My voice shook as I asked the man behind the counter.

"Okay, what's your name?"

"Martin."

"Okay, that will be £4.50."

"Okay," I crabbed a handful of coins out of my pocket. "Here you go."

I walked to the other end of the counter and collected my drink and got a seat at the back. I had just sat down when someone else decided to join me at my table. I shifted, about to stand up and move away when the person spoke.

"Martin."

Hi, I hope you liked this chapter, it was a bit different from normal but I hope you enjoyed it. Sorry for the long wait, school is stressful and Shakespeare is hard to learn. Hope you are having a good day! - Ruby 🌸
