I Have Always Loved You

Chapter 6

DAN POV

There he was, Pj. I still hate that name. Why did Phil kiss him or why did he kiss back, we were meant to be in love. Yes, I know most high school relationships don't work but I thought we had something special, maybe this was all in my head. I only dated one person since, not because i'm still hung up on Phil but no one compares to him. I don't know, maybe that's a bad thing but maybe it isn't.

I continue walking, I pass Pj but I accidentally look up before I reach him and his mouth hits the floor. I knew it was a bad idea, I should of just walked the opposite way. But no, I did the worst thing possible and walked right in front of him.

"Dan?" Pj asked. I stopped not wanting to answer because if I did he would know it was me, even if I denied it with my life. I looked at him for a few seconds and then walked past him shoving his shoulder in the process. He reached out and grabbed my arm and pulled me back to him without letting go.

"It's you isn't it?" Pj asked and I nodded my head slightly keeping my eyes trained on the ground. "Why didn't you come back, we all missed you." Missed? Of course they got over me leaving, it's easy to be forgotten.

"Why didn't I come back? Gee, Pj, it's not like I saw you kissing my fucking boyfriend is it? Were you trying to get revenge for Chris kissing me? Or had that been a long term arrangement? I can't believe I called you my best friend once, I regret everything I did for any of you!" I practically shouted in his face, I have never been this angry at one person before.

"Y-you saw that?" Pj asked trying to process what I was saying.

"Of course I fucking saw that. Why did you think it was right to kiss my boyfriend? You had no right to do any of what you did!" I am still fuming.

"It was 5 years ago Dan. Grow a pair and get over it, you're acting like a child!" Pj shouted at me. I felt someone grab my arm as I was lifting it up to punch Pj, I was spun around to face Phil who is nearly as annoyed as me and Pj.

"Dan, What the hell are you doing?" Phil asked raising his voice.

"Are you two- oh no, I need to go." I said as I turned and ran into the hotel. They were together! I knew something was going on between them, why did I even come here?
