I Have Always Loved You

Chapter 18

Dan POV

I was now all packed up, I had to go in when Martin was at work so I didn't disrupt him; we're not back on speaking terms just yet. It was hard looking around the home we had made but sometimes things like this happen and you have to learn to deal with it. I have to admit I did struggle with making my way around the apartment on my own due to the crutches but I didn't have much there so it wasn't so hard.

After everything was packed up into bags; two suitcases and a backpack. I called Phil and he helped me take the bags to his car.

It's been such a long time since I've seen him and I forgot so many things about him - like when he smiles his whole face smiles, or the fact that his hair isn't always black. These little things I'm starting to see again really make this easier. I sit next to him in his car, he looks at me before he starts to drive. He holds my gaze and looks deep into my eyes as if he is trying to work something out. 

"So, I watched some videos." He suddenly announced.

"Ah, so what did you think?" I asked, hoping he didn't hate them.

"I thought they were good, I understand why you have so many fans. Although I think there are a few things you could do to improve, but we don't need to talk about them now."

"O-okay. I'm glad you liked them at least." 

He went silent for a minute, just driving. "So, you watch anime?"He asked wanting to start some conversation. 

"Yeah, it's very entertaining. Do you watch it?"

"Me? No, I never got into it. But I only tried to watch some a few years ago, so who knows I might like it now." He shrugged his shoulders and quickly glanced at me.

"Well, i'll show you some of mine. I'm assuming you saw one of my videos about what anime I recommend then?" 

"No, I just read a few fan fictions."

"What?!??" This shocked me very much, also more due to the fact I didn't know what kind he had read. I had read a few of my fan fictions a few very scary and shocking more less so but I was always wary of what I was reading now on.

"Haha don't worry I didn't read any of the nasty ones, I already made that mistake once before."

"Oh, okay. That's good." We pulled into a car park and Phil stopped the car.

He turned to me, "Well, come on then!"
