I had refused to enter the room for an hour and a half. Everyone had taken their turn trying to get me to come inside. It wasn’t until Coulson came out for the second time, that I went into the control room. Immediately, I glared, and hadn’t stopped since. I sat across from him, trying my hardest not to growl. I wanted to jump across the table and rip his head off. The only thing stopping me, was the fact that he was currently our only informant. But he had come here. We hadn’t brought him in. And that worried me.

He had got his hair cut short since I had last seen him. He had lost weight, not in a good way, his face more gaunt. He was paler, sickly even. But it didn’t make a difference. I would always and forever recognise him. He was one of the few henchmen who joined Alex in my nightmares. He met my glare, not flinching, not once looking away. With every breath he took, memories flashed through my mind, of that same, silent glare.

Two armed guards stood a little way away from him, just in case he decided to try something. Watching our non-exchange, they shifted uncomfortably. The air was so filled with tension and anger that not even Thor’s hammer could plough through it. But I didn’t care. All I wanted to know was why he was here. And if I didn’t find out soon, I would kill him.

Nick walked up from the main floor, a file in his hands. ‘Klaus Heinz.’ Nick said, dropping it onto the table. So he has a name. I thought to myself.

Nick crossed his arms, looking down at him. I marvelled at his ability to stay calm, collected, relaxed. Nick was the only one in the room, not wanting to tear this guy apart, or at least, he seemed to be.

‘You know, we’ve been trying to find you for a few years. Why suddenly appear on our doorstep?’ he asked, but Beibz, or Klaus, ignored him, keeping eye-contact with me. I stared right back, refusing to appear even slightly weak.

He seemed to search my eyes for something, looking me over, before a snake-like smile slithered onto his lips. I suppressed a shudder, before forcing myself to make no movements, not even to stiffen, as my side began to blaze with pain once more. The fiery feeling spread throughout my whole body quickly, but I didn’t move. I kept my breathing even, refusing to let any sign of discomfort show.

Though, no doubt he knew. His sneer grew slightly, and he sat back in his seat, contentedly.

He looked me over thoughtfully, the smile not leaving his lips.

‘You’re very good.’ He noted, chuckling a little. I raised an eyebrow at him.
