"Oh, uh, this? I hit my head on the... door, yeah, that's what happened," he lied, adding a huge cheesy grin to make it more convincing.

Every one stayed silent, unreadable expressions on their faces. He breathed a sigh of relief thinking that they had believed his lie.

"Very funny, Aleks," Eddie mumbled, voice dripping with sarcasm. "Now tell us what really happened."

"I already told you what happened; I hit my face on the door, that's all."

He saw turn red with frustration as he grinded his teeth.

"Fine," Sly muttered. "Don't tell me."

Eddie got up and grabbed his plate to rid it of its leftovers. After that he walked towards the stairs, stopping just before the first step.

"I'll be in my room if anyone needs me."

And he walked up the staircase, not saying a word, with the same red and angered face.

"Um," he trailed off.

He had no idea what to say; everyone knew he was lying and Sly had just caused a big scene. Why did he was he so determined to know? It didn't matter, he didn't matter.

"You should go see him," Dan proposed.

He sighed; he couldn't believe he was doing this. "Sure, what room?"

"First one to the left."

"Thanks," he said under his breath, already half way up.

He made his way to what he guessed was Sly's room and knocked hesitantly.

"Go away!"

"Eddie, it's me, Aleks."

He pressed his ear against the door, trying to hear any words indicating his permission to enter.

He sighed again and opened the door, closing it behind him.

He made his way to the Puerto Rican's bed where Sly was laying, facing the opposite way.

He sat in the edge, placing a hand carefully on his shoulder.

"Hey. Are you okay?"

"I guess," he heard a familiar voice mutter, words muffled by a pillow.

He chuckled, trying to make the atmosphere a little more comfortable for both of them.

"I can't hear you," he teased. "You'll have to get up."

Eddie did exactly that, leaning the headboard of his bed.

"So, what's bugging you?"

"What's 'bugging' me? You lying is what's 'bugging' me. I'm worried, Aleks, and you lying isn't helping me believe that there's nothing to worry about."

"Okay, what's worrying you?"

"The fact that you're scared of your own home and that you have a pretty bad black eye on your face. I just... can't help but think there's a connection with the two."

"Well, there isn't so don't worry about me, I don't like when people do that."

It was true, he hated being pitied or worried about. He felt as though he didn't deserve it, people caring about him. He longed for someone to but still felt as though having a person's attention was a bother.

As he was deep in thought, he felt a hand lift up his hoodie and shirt at once.

He grabbed Sly's wrist, red faced, "What the fuck, dude!"

He prayed to God that Eddie hadn't seen any of his scars or bruises, that was the last thing he wanted.

"Come on, I just want to check something."

"No!"

"Hey, you said I had nothing to worry about, so what's wrong with me checking?"

He sighed; Sly had a point and, honestly, even though he didn't want anyone to find out about it, he had a feeling Eddie was not going to drop it anytime soon.

He felt his clothes being lifted a bit more, enough to reveal his skinny stomach. He heard a gasp and his clothing was let go of.

He stared at Eddie's shocked face and looked back down to the bed, not wanting to look back into those panicked eyes.

"Oh my God. Who did that to you?"

"My adoptive father."

He saw Sly's face turn shift from shock to anger, from anger to sadness and sadness to worry.

"How many times?"

"Lost count."

"Lost count?" Eddie yelled, completely exasperated. "How many times a month, then?"

"Every day."

"For how long?"

"I don't know, something like five, maybe six, years."

Eddie got to his feet quickly, face red with anger.

"What's your address?"

"21 Oak Avenue, why?"

"So I can drive there and kick the bastard's ass!"

Before he could protest, Sly was already running down the stairs, sleeves rolled up and fists clenched.

He ran down the stairs himself, getting confused glances from all the Creatures.

"What the fuck happened?" Sp00n questioned, glancing at Sly who was already searching for his car keys.

He opened his mouth to explain but was interrupted by the enraged Latino.

"Aleks is moving in. Right now. And I'm going to kick some fuckers ass."

"Why?" Seamus asked.

The only answer he got was the sound of the front door slamming shut.

"Fuck, Eddie!"Aleks yelled, running after him.

He ran and stepped in front of him just before he got the chance to open his car door.

"Out of the way, Aleks."

"Dude, I know you're mad, I'm mad too, but how about we just talk about this?"

"I can't have a conversation with a liar," Sly snapped.

"Ouch," he thought.

"Look I'll make it up to you just don't go!"

"Why not?" Sly yelled.

"'Cause I don't want my first friend getting hurt because of me!" he screamed back.

Eddie was visibly taken aback by this, taking a few steps backwards. He stayed quiet, thinking about a way to settle this.

He saw Eddie unclenched his fist and loosen his shoulders.

"Fine, I won't go on one condition."

"And what is that?"

"You move in. I don't want you living with that asshole anymore."

"You know that's not my decision; you need to ask the other guys first."

Eddie rolled his eyes, "I know but, you have to promise that if they say yes you'll move in."

"Fine."

"Promise?" Sly inquired, extending out his hand.

"Promise," he repeated, shaking his hand.

They walked in the Creature house again, all of the guys waiting by the door. He was starting to get pretty tired at this point.

"Now will someone tell us what's happening?" James asked, clearly not amused.

"I would but I'm beat," he explained, yawning.

He saw Eddie glance at him sadly when he said 'beat' and quickly realized his stupid word choice.

"I meant that I'm really tired so I'll head to bed, if you guys don't mind."

"We don't care just as long as one of you explains. Now."

"I'll do it," Sly stated. "You go to bed Aleks, your room is the one across from mine."

He nodded, rubbing his normal eye sleepily, and walked up the stairs, dragging his feet. He heard Eddie squeal and say something like 'he's so adorable!' from downstairs, causing his tail to wag in his hoodie and a blush to make its way to his face.
