"Okay, I think it's a good time to end the recording. Thank you so much for watching, Homies, and I'll talk to you guys later!"
Aleks clicked on the record button Eddie had shown him, ending his part of the recording session.
"That was awesome guys!" Steven shouted cheerfully.
"Yeah, it would've been even more awesome if Aleks hadn't burned down half my house!" Eddie yelled, glaring at him.
He chuckled silently, "I don't know what you're talking about, I'm pretty sure it was Kevin."
"What the fuck, don't blame me!" Kevin snapped.
Everyone laughed at the false accusation and the retort before bidding their goodbyes.
"See you in a few days, guys," Sly stated simply.
"Bye Sly! Bye Aleks!" the other two replied at the same time.
"Shit, you guys really need to stop doing that; that shit's too spooky," he spoke, laughing.
They laughed again before hanging up, getting up from the leather desk chairs and stretching a little.
"Damn, almost two hours and a half of Daily, we haven't recorded that much in a long time," Eddie declared.
Aleks was kind of nervous about the recording being uploaded. Of course, he knew from the beginning Eddie was going to publish this on his YouTube channel but he was nervous nevertheless. What if Sly Homies didn't like him? What if the just kindly, or rudely; he didn't know how they acted, told Sly to just... stop recording with him, telling him to fuck off basically.
Judging by the hand he felt on his shoulder, it seemed the Homie leader himself noticed his unease.
"Hey, they'll love you, okay? You'll get your own fan base in no time, trust me!"
He just shrugged, causing Sly's hand to remove itself from his shoulder.
"C'mon, lighten up! We'll edit and upload later then we'll look at the comments after, okay?"
He nodded, a small smile on his face, trying to reassure his friend even though his stress hadn't died down.
"What do you want to do now?"
He sighed, he didn't want to do this, but he didn't have a choice. If he wanted his old stuff, he needed to go back, back to the living Hell of a home.
"I need to go to my place."
"Why?"
"I need to get my stuff, you know, clothes and stuff. I can't live with the same outfit forever, you know."
"But, it's not safe. If he's there when you get there, there's no telling what would happen!"
He chuckled bitterly, trying to assure Eddie. "Don't worry, I've taking a lot of beatings before, I can handle another one."
Eddie huffed, clearly disagreeing, "But I don't want you to 'handle another one'."
Aleks swatted the air, "I'll be fine."
Sly crossed his arms, his chest puffing slightly.
"No, you won't. I don't care what you say, you are not going and you are not getting touched by that fucker again."
"Look, I appreciate you caring, I really do, but I'm going back and that's final," he decided, a firm and strict tone to his voice.
"Okay, you can go, on one condition."
"What?"
"You can go as long as Seamus, James, Jordan and I go with you."
He stomped to the front entrance, a disapproving and angry expression on his face.
"No."
"And why not?" he heard the Latino's irritated voice question behind him.
He leaned on the doorway and put on his shoes, one at a time.
"There is no way in Hell I'm risking you guys getting hurt because of me, that's why."
He opened the front entrance and walked out, pleased to hear no objection from Eddie. His small satisfied grin turned into a harsh scowl when he heard Sly yell something to the Creatures upstairs.
"Seamus, James, Jordan, get down here! Now!"
He turned back to the house, "What the fuck, Eddie?"
"We're going with you and there's nothing you can do to stop us."
"I can run to my house and you guys won't know where to go, how's that sound?"
"You told me your address yesterday, remember? 21 Oak Avenue."
"God dammit!" he cursed, walking down the sidewalk, hands in his hoodie pocket.
He trudged to the end of the road, happy to hear no familiar voices behind him telling him to wait; the Creatures weren't going after him.
But, of course, his contentment was cut short as he heard a car beside him stop.
Aleks turned his head towards the car, praying that it wasn't who he thought it was.
The window of the passenger seat rolled down, revealing an annoyed James with a determined looking Jordan in the background, looking at the road.
"Get in," James ordered.
"I'm not-"
"Get in or I'll go out there and fucking stuff you in the goddamn trunk."
"Fine," he grumbled, not wanting to start an argument with the obviously fuming YouTuber.
He got into the seat behind James, next to Seamus, who was by the window, and Eddie, who was in the middle.
He buckled his seat belt and leaned on the window.
"What was the address again, Sly?"
"21 Oak Avenue."
"Fuck you," he mumbled under his breath, low enough for only him to hear.
Once Aleks noticed they were getting close, he coughed to cut through the silence and get everyone's attention.
"Let's set one thing straight; you guys don't go in unless I need you to, got it?"
Jordan sighed, "How are going to tell us?"
"I'll text you."
"Fine," Seamus agreed.
"Wait, who are you going to send it to? You don't know any of our numbers," Eddie inquired, suspicious.
Aleks cursed mentally before exchanging numbers with the other four; of course Sly had to think of every last detail.
Jordan slowly parked the car in front of his house as if mentally debating if he should just speed off here instead of letting him go in.
Once the car was immobile, he let out a shaky breath as he unbuckled his seatbelt.
He held onto car door handle and closed his eyes, gathering all the courage he could. He was going to do this. He was going to do this as swiftly and as silently as he could and he would make sure to never, no matter what the circumstances, tell his friends to go in. He'd rather die than be the reason his new group of friends were injured. He'd make sure to keep his phone off, or at least keep it untouched in his hoodie pocket.
He opened the car door and deliberately pulled his aching body out. He made his way to the entrance little by little and stopped in front of the door.
He turned and glanced at the four out of seven Creatures. They all smiled, as if non-verbally trying to tell him that everything would be okay. They all looked ready to run out of the vehicle any second now, especially Eddie, who had already moved to the seat he was sitting on and had his hand gripping on the handle.
He beamed slightly himself, partially to comfort his new friends but mostly to tell himself that everything would be okay. He then turned and glared at the usually unlocked door; when he wasn't around, his so-called father was either to lazy, drunk or forgetful to lock the door himself.
He extended his arm and placed a tight grip on the doorknob.
"This is it," he echoed mentally. "No going back now."
He then twisted the knob and gently opened the entrance to that all too familiar Hell, even though the way he made his way in as carefully as possible, the door still creaked, just like he expected it to.
He stepped inside and closed the door behind him; this was something he did not want the Creatures to see.
Hey~ Sorry for the late chapter; power sort of went out for some reason. Anyway, hope you enjoy! It's mostly a chapter to build up hype but I like it anyway. Special thank you to Tiny_2001, TongeCecilie, BannanaSplit, DollFaceDemon, LonelyFaggot and NikkiPurpleCookies for the follows! <3
