After an informative lesson in editing and uploading videos, Aleks managed to post his first video. He looked at the number of subscribers he had gained from his appearance on Sly's series.
"Holy shit!" he exclaimed, incredulous.
"What?" Eddie questioned, still looking at the game he was playing on his own computer.
"I have 2k subscribers!"
"What? That's awesome as fuck dude, congrats!" Sly praised, nudging him.
"Damn right it's awesome!"
Eddie giggled before shutting off his monitor and spinning around in his desk chair.
"So, what do you want to do now?"
"Shouldn't the Creatures be back by now?" he said instead of answering Sly's question, looking at the time, '5:30', meaning the guys had been out recording their skit for about five hours.
Eddie only shrugged and spun on his chair again. "They probably finished and just went to get food at Taco Bell or something, they should be back any second n-"
"We're back, you fucks!" James called as the front door slammed open.
Seamus walked into the room where they were currently in. "Hey guys, sorry about James; he got into an argument with Jordan again and he's still a little mad. Anyways, had fun?"
"Yeah," they both chorused.
"No fires or explosions while we were gone?" Jordan shouted from the kitchen.
"Very funny, Hoardan!" Eddie yelled back, sarcasm clear in his voice.
"Hoardan?" he inquired, slightly surprised; Koots sure did have a lot of different nicknames.
James walked in and stood next to his blonde boyfriend, appearing to have cooled down noticeably.
"It's a nickname we gave him. In games, he always hoards all the goods, so we started calling him Hoardan," he informed.
He nodded, amused by the anecdote. "So, did you bring food?" he asked, suddenly noticing just how hungry he was from not eating practically anything during the whole day.
Dan entered chuckling. "Yeah, we brought Taco Bell, it's in the kitchen now. We ordered whatever for you two since we didn't know what you wanted so, first come, first serve."
He and Eddie looked at each other as if both agreeing on something in silence before racing to the room with the mexican food to get the first choice.
Unfortunately for him, Sly arrived seconds before him, but apparently that was enough time for him to choose his meal and sit down at his usual seat.
"Damn," Aleks breathed out, panting ever so slightly, grabbing the last order and sitting down himself.
"In your face, Aleks," the winner of the race gloated between breaths.
"Don't make me go grumpy Aleks on you again."
Sly laughed, taking a bite from his taco.
He unwrapped his mystery meal and smile, satisfied by the delicious looking contents.
After devouring their meals hungrily, the two walked down to the television room, the room where they guessed the other Creatures were, judging by the booming voices coming from it.
"What are you guys watching?" Aleks asked them, not recognizing the scene playing on the screen nor the agonizing screams coming from the speakers.
"Really bad horror movies," Ze explained between laughs.
Aleks sat down in one if the leather recliners at the end of the row with Eddie and watched the screen intently, laughing at practically anything happening in the movie.
After a marathon of similar horrible scary films that only ended up making all the Creatures laugh until they were out of breath, Kootra got up and stood in front of the TV screen, blocking the view.
"Hey!" practically all of them yelled, leaning at different angles to see if they could somehow see the scene completely in vain.
"Fuck off, we're trying to watch the movie!" James ordered with a glare.
"Hey man, it's late and we have school tomorrow, we need to go to bed."
"C'mon Koots, ten more minutes?" Eddie pleaded with another one of his cute pouts.
"No, we need sleep!"
"Five?" Aleks tried, flattening his ears on his head and giving Kootra the best puppy dog eyes he could muster.
Jordan groaned. "Fine, five more minutes, but not one more second!"
"Okay, Mom," Sp00n agreed for all of them, shooing Hordan away with a hand.
Jordan grumbled something inaudible and sat back down, revealing the images that went with the hysterical crying echoing through the room.
After a few more minutes, Jordan turned off the television, getting up again as everyone groaned.
"Bed. Now."
"But-" Ze started.
"Not another sound, understood?"
They all mumbled their agreements and disagreements as they slowly made their way up the stairs, dragging their suddenly heavy feet.
"Damn, Jordan's a real buzzkill when he's grumpy," Seamus muttered.
They all agreed before going in their different bedrooms, changing and going to sleep, mentally groaning at the thought of another school week beginning.
"Aleks, wake up!" Eddie commanded, shaking his shoulder furiously.
He turned over to avoid the loud Latino but that only resulted in sunlight directly hitting his eyelids.
He opened them reluctantly, giving them a while to adjust to the light. He turned back over to Eddie.
"What?" he requested, voice muffled by the blankets covering the lower half of his face.
"You need to get ready, we need to go!"
He sat up and rubbed his eyes, struggling to keep them open.
"Okay, I'll do that, give me a sec."
Sly seemed to accept that answer joyfully, skipping out the door, humming a happy tune and closing it behind him.
He felt the corners of his mouth twitch into a tired half-smile, entertained at Sly's usual optimism.
He put on a simple pair of jeans, a black v-neck and the same hoodie he wore last Friday before walking out to do the rest of his morning routine in the bathroom.
He ran downstairs and stuffed a piece of toast the guys had left out for him. He walked to the front door where all the Creatures where chatting mindlessly and put on his shoes, swinging his bag loosely over his right shoulder. As they were heading out and he was to make his first step outside, he got pulled back inside by the hood.
He turned to Eddie with a glare, hearing he laughing of his friends that were already walking to the bus stop.
"What the fuck, dude? Your ears!"
"Oh fuck!" he cursed, running up the stairs to get his trusty blue beanie.
He stuffed his tail in his sweatshirt and hurriedly placed the hat on his head, running out the door, shutting the door and locking it with a spare key Dan had given him.
He ran to the bus stop, where the other Creatures where already getting on.
"C'mon Aleks, hurry up!" Sly called out, waiting for him on the steps, appearing to be in some argument with the conductor.
He jumped on as Sly muttered something to the male driver. "See? I told he was coming, don't be mean and drive off."
"Whatever, kid."
The made their way to the back as the bus lurched forward, making the two of them almost fall. Soon enough though, they made their way to the back with the others and joined their conversation.
