He sobbed on Eddie's shoulder for a good ten minutes, always muttering insults to himself that Sly would always object to. By the looks of it, Eddie was convinced that he was a great guy, full of confidence and potential. Where he got that idea, he'd never know; those were things Aleks had never thought about himself, not once in his life.

Once his crying slowly stopped, Eddie was still rocking them back and forth gently, as if rocking him to sleep.

"You better now?"

He nodded, "Yeah, better."

"Good," Sly stated with a warm grin. "So, what do you want to do, go back down or wait it out?"

"I'm good up here, for now at least."

"Then we'll stay up here."

He looked at Eddie with a confused expression. "'We'?"

"Well yeah, didn't think I was going to leave you up here, did you?"

He grinned back, silently thanking him and placed his head on Sly chest, the sound of his steady heartbeat comforting him.

After a few minutes of laying like that, he heard multiple loud footsteps run up the stairs, stopping right in front of his door to knock.

"Aleks? Can we please come in?" Seamus asked softly from the other side.

He was about to respond when Sly got up, gently letting go of him.

He stood up as the Latino walked to the door and cracked it open enough for only him to be visible.

"What," he demanded, his tone making it sound more like a statement than a question.

"Look Sly, we just want to talk to him," Ze assured.

"Well, anything you want to say to him you can say to me, so before I let you in you have to tell me what it is you want to say."

"Fine, just get the fuck out here," James ordered, motioning to the corridor they were all standing in.

"Give me a minute."

Eddie closed the door just enough to block any sound from his room.

"Can I?"

"Sure, just... don't do or say anything you might regret. I heard you earlier, I know you were mad but there's no need to insult your friends because of me."

"Oh, I'm still mad, they made you fucking cry and I'm going to make sure they know that," Sly assured with a venomous tone.

"Please, don't; you don't realize what you have Eddie or just how lucky you are. You have a group of friends that like you for you, I've always wanted that. Don't ruin it for me."

"But Aleks, they should learn to accept you for who you are. If they don't they're just being shallow assholes."

"I'm a freaky ass fucking hybrid, Eddie, that's not being shallow, that's being weirded out. They probably think I'm a freak and, honestly, I don't blame them; I have a pair of goddamn dog ears on my head and a fucking tail!"

"I'm just trying to make you happy!" Eddie yelled.

"And I'm just trying to keep you happy!" he argued back just as loudly.

"Look Aleks, I'm just trying to be there for you and if you don't want that, you could of just said so!" Sly shouted back, storming out and pushing through the crowd of teens who were waiting for permission to enter.

He cringed as he heard Eddie's door slam loudly and slid back down the wall, tears threatening to spill again as he looked down at the floor, trying to process what had just happened.

Now he had done it. He had ruined his friendship with his first friend ever in less the two days like the dumbass he was.

His misery filled thoughts were interrupted by the sound of not so discreet footsteps entering his room.

He looked up to see all the Creatures staring at him.

He pulled his hood back up and put his head down, "What? Came by to kick me while I was down?"

"No, we came to say to apologize," he heard Koots say.

"For what? Being just like everyone else in my life, cruel for no reason?"

He let out a small sarcastic laugh. "By that logic practically everyone I've ever met should apologize," he added.

"Look man," Seamus started. "When came hear to say that Sly was right, we were being shitty people, judging you after all that shit you've been through. We should of just accepted it in the first place; looks don't matter, after all."

He looked up at the six YouTubers in disbelief.

"Are you saying that you...don't care about them?"

They all nodded as Dan continued, "And we're sorry we made you feel bad, we should have known better than to just react the way we did."

"Apology accepted then," Aleks stated cheerfully, getting up; for the first time, he was accepted for who he really was and, truthfully, it felt pretty good.

"Mind if I?" he trailed off, motioning towards his hood.

"Not at all," Jordan assured with a encouraging smile.

He gladly pulled it off, revealing his ears once more. Not one of the people in front of him cringed or grimaced, much to his astonishment and happiness; they were really being honest when they said they didn't care.

He doubtfully revealed his tail as well, realizing tat he had forgot to mention that.

"Holy shit, you come with a tail too?" James exclaimed teasingly.

"Yup!" he confirmed gleefully, his tail wagging.

"Aw, that's cute," Sp00n mocked.

"Shut up," he muttered, flustered.

After that, everyone went back to what they were supposed to be doing, wether it was recording, editing, uploading or something else, leaving Aleks in his room alone again.

His thoughts quickly centered themselves on Eddie again, he really had to go apologize for sounding unappreciative. Even though neither of them was really in the wrong, the way he explained himself really made him sound like an ungrateful bastard.

So, without any hesitation, he walked out of his room and marched to Eddie's room, determined to fix their situation.

Weird ass title, right? Don't judge, it's late where I'm at and I thought it would be clever to use the 'when a door opens, another one closes' expression thing. Anyways, thank you for all the amazing comments on the last chapter, I love you all! <3
