The weeks flew by as if they had only been mere days to Aleks. Soon, it was Christmas, then New Years, and, after a few months, his graduation.

He achieved an important milestone in his life, finishing his time in the prison that most people referred to as high school. He was sure that, without any of the Creatures, he would probably be completely lost, left alone with no idea where to head next. The idea of college was mutually rejected by all of them and they had all settled in staying concentrated on the group, the group he was officially accepted in the day of their graduation.

His YouTube career succeeded immensely. Because of his multiple appearances on the Creature series’ as well as Daily, his amount of subscribers shot up to a total of more than half a million, Nobs was what he called them. He had no clue as to why though; the idea had just popped in his head as he was mindlessly drawing their symbol on MS Paint.

He treasured them to the best of his capability, striving to upload quality videos he considered entertaining enough to show the world. He met a lot of friends along the way, as well as got closer to Kevin and Steven through recordings and Skype conversations.

He became more popular, which led him to find his Tumblr tag filled with various fan art and drawings of him and Eddie, as a couple. They hadn’t made an announcement to the fans about them actually being them together, but that didn’t stop them for shipping them together.

Eddie and his relationship had prospered as well. Neither of them had proposed; they were taking things at a slow and sure pace, not that any of them minded. Eddie had offered him a promise ring though, which he gladly accepted, not hesitating for even a mere half-second.

“I want to make sure you’ll stay with me until I stop being a pussy and actually make you mine forever,” his boyfriend had said as he slipped the ring on his finger.

He loved him, more than anything in the world. Eddie had been the first person to love him, ever, when the world refused to let anyone do so. When he was alone and convinced it would be that way for the rest of his life, he had been there, in the nick of time. Eddie made him happy and he was more than glad to be able to return the favor whenever it was needed.

Eddie had managed to heal his physical scars, now his body was entirely intact as it once was when he was a child. And by using sheer love, he succeeded to somewhat heal his emotional ones.

He knew they would never fully fade away. He knew he would still have horrible flashbacks from time to time that would make him cry or ask the reason of his existence on this cursed planet. His boyfriend had always been there though, always there through thick and thin. So much so he was beginning to worry Eddie would eventually get tired of always having to whisper sweet nothings to him only to make him feel better. Whenever he told Eddie that however, he always said the same thing; that he would do anything for his depression to disappear and that telling him how ‘amazing’ he was was one of the things he loved doing.

He would still remember the feeling of being alone, of being abandoned and rejected. In fact, the feeling always haunted him whenever he was physically alone in a room or Eddie wasn’t by his side for a long period of time. He was an expert at hiding his feelings now and could effortlessly do so if need be, to avoid sounding pathetic and fragile in front of a friend or his significant other.

The memories of his Hell in his previous home were still fresh, actually, but so was the one of Sly saving him. He very well recalled being unhappy but still remembered being happy for the first time. A feeling he would do anything to keep for his entire life to make sure it wouldn’t diminish.

As much as tears were shed, smiles shown as well. Most of the time that was all he did, smile and laugh, genuinely and gleefully. He had his moments, but he could certainly overlook them in the middle of a conversation with one of the Creatures, when he could practically feel their bond becoming stronger.

Each of them had a specific spot in his heart and they couldn’t be replaced in that field. He could always go to any of them for any obstacle that came his way and he knew they didn’t mind helping; it was what they told him, anyways.

Everything was perfect these days. They recorded and hung out every day and he cuddled and talked to Eddie before bed every night. Not too long ago, they had done like Seamus and James and moved into the same room. Beforehand, his slumber was constantly tormented by nightmares of his past or bad scenarios that could possibly happen in the future, Eddie and his breakup, for example. When that would happen, he would go to Eddie’s room and wake him up in the middle of the night, announcing his dilemma, sometimes on the edge of tears.

Eddie would never hesitate to invite him to spend the night with him. Although he was convinced that he was clearly being a bother, he accepted anyway and it had been one of his best decisions ever.

To be truthful, he should have noticed beforehand that, whenever he was around his flawless Latino boyfriend, the anxieties just… disappeared. When he was in Sly’s arms as they drifted into a peaceful sleep, the nightmares stopped. Only good dreams were left behind which pushed him to move into the same room as him.

He looked up at Eddie’s smiling, quiet sleeping face with a sleepy grin. He nuzzled his head into the crook of his neck, closing his eyes with the same smile adorning his pale face.

Now, he knew what friendship was. He knew what love was. He knew what happiness was. The scars could trouble him forever for all he cared, nothing, and he truly meant nothing, would come between him and his happiness; his Eddie.

Damn... it's done. I really hate this feeling, the one you get when you finish a story; it's as if you want to write something else but at the same time you want to keep writing this story forever so it's very conflicting. Anyways, it's been a good run. Hopefully you enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it. I can't thank you guys enough for the unwavering support, 17,5+k reads, 800+ votes and 300+ comments, wow. I love you all and I'd really love if you keep bearing with me through my future stories, but if you don't, that's 100% okay.

Special thanks to KitCatDragon and Epic_rawr90 for the follows! <3

(Special teaser for my next story for those who read this far (hue hue hue):

No matter how much some refused to become a victim of his obvious games, he would always win in the end. When a new, intriguing pale brunette arrives at his school, will he be able to do the same of get a taste of his own medecine?)

There, that gives you an idea of what I'm going for, right? <3 Hope you'll enjoy it! First chapter will most likely be published tomorrow!
