Chapter 31

"What now marvelous leader!?" Yelled the cocky swordsman with heavy sarcasm.
They are humans, bandits I presume.
I counted 10, most had spears and swords but one has a bow and arrow pointed straight at me.

The two archer girls had arrows trained at two targets, both swordsman had there swords ready to fight but I just stood there, almost like I didn't see them.

The biggest bandit stepped forward obviously the leader.
" well I guess you guys have only one option.. Because we out number you nearly 2-1" he said with a huff.
Who does this guy think he is?!?

"And what's that?" I asked with a laugh that seemed to piss of the bandit leader.

"Give us all your loot and pray that we don't kill you! " screamed the leader as he pulled out a long sword.

"I'm only going to give you one chance.
Either run away or die.." I said to the group of bandits.

"What makes you think you can take us on?" Asked the bandit leader.

I looked up at him and turned my eyes red and flashed him my fangs.

Surprise filled his face as he stepped back and fell onto his bum.

He quickly stood up and yelled
"Attack!!"
The group closed in on us and my archers killed two bandits with an arrow to the head.

I saw the bandit archer aim at me so i turned around and the arrow bounced off my invisible shield.
The archer looked shocked, but the shock of having a throwing knife in his throat surprised the man even more.

In the corner of my eye I saw both swordsman kill a bandit each and the archers are shooting at a bandit with a big shield that was blocking every arrow.

Now the odds are 5-6 in our favor.
The leader of the bandits charged at me with his sword raised.

I got two knives right through his armor into his belly.
He stopped charging and backed up and pulled out a potion.

I left him there so I could deal with the rest of the bandits.

I chopped off the head of the guy with a shield from behind, and helped my swordsman defeat two bandits that they were struggling with.

Then the leader charged me again, but he held a small shield and a short sword this time.
I dodged his first strike to my left but then a spear sprouted from his face. Blood splattered all over my face.

The leader fell to the ground dead, the last remaining bandit pulled out his spear from his bosses head.

My archers had arrows trained at his head.

" they forced me to join the bandits, I want to be.....well what ever you guys are." Said the young boy, barely 18.
He looks strangely familiar. ??

"Do I kill him?" Asked one of the archers.

"No, we need more men" I said as I smiled.

--------5 minutes later-------

I was going through the dead bandits loot when I noticed the new kid looking at me.
I still couldn't figure out where I knew him.

"Now... What's your name kid?" I asked him.

"David" he replied, that's when it clicked.

He goes to my school, but a year under me.

"I'm Ben, we go to the same school.." I said to him and shock filled his face.

"Your Ben!? Weren't you best friends with that guys who died, Jake?" He asked.

My smile left " yeah.. That's me" I said.

"Ahh Ben... What's that?" Asked David.
I turned around to see where he was pointing to see a bright red flair shooting into the sky.

"Let's go!" I yelled at the party as we all stood up and started running towards the flair.
