--- Recap ---

Alex walked inside and shut the door behind him. I took a step back and raised an eyebrow. This is my house and I don't think I invited him in. He crossed his arms and leaned against the wall behind him.

"I don't think I invited you in...?" I said mimicking him.

He smirked. "We need to talk."

"About?" I said impatiently. I'm not usually like this, there's just something about him that riles me up.

"You and Jayden," he said, his eyes taking on a serious edge.

     Oh boy. This'll be interesting.

Chapter 9

I cleared my throat and stood up a little straighter. "What about, me and Jayden?"

"Not that it's any of your business," I added quickly.

A wide smirk slowly made its way onto his face; making me subconsciously bite my lower lip. He chuckled under his breath and stalked towards me.

"W-What are you doing?" I stuttered as he placed his palms in either side of my body - trapping me against the wall.

He leaned in closer; now only inches away. The air around me suddenly felt hot; I parted my lips in hope of trying to control my breathing and noticed his eyes drift down the length of my face.

"What do you want me to be doing?" he asked, a small smile on his lips. I inhaled his familiar minty breath and quickly shut my mouth at his suggestive question.

He leaned closer and closer. His lips nearly touching mine. I felt the small sparks of electricity between us, gradually get bigger and more intense with every step closer to each other. My lips parted, in anticipation for his lips to meet mine. Part of me wanted to kiss him, but part me didn't.

My decision was chosen for me, when his body was immediately pulled away from me and I came face to face with Jayden. Alex took a few steps towards me, until the three of us stood in a triangle. I see the irony in this too.

"What are you doing?" Jayden said to Alex, in restrained anger.

My posture straightened and I folded my arms in a stern manner. "I know."

"You know, what?" Jayden said slowly.

"I know what's going on between the two of you," I said simply.

"What?!" Jay said in shock, turning to face Alex.

Alex ignored Jayden's shocked expression and instead, turned to fully face me. "We're not gay."

     "What?!" Jay repeated.

"I'm frankly offended you'd think I was. Jayden, maybe? But me?" Alex said stepping closer towards me.

Jayden yanked Alex away from me once more. Alex promptly clenched his knuckles and looked darkly back down at Jayden. "Touch me one more time and I'll guarantee you'll regret it."

I ignored his words his words and turned to face them in confusion. "If you both aren't gay... then what's going on between the two of you? Why weren't you at school today?" I asked them.
