Chapter 11

Jay's P.O.V.

Jackie Robinson once said a life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives

"Are you sure?" I asked grabbing my phone

Kelly nodded. I picked up my finger motioning to give me a second. I dialed Taylor's number but this time went straight to voicemail. A wave of worries flew over me. I turned back to Kelly and put away me phone

"Jay, I'm sure she's okay. Maybe her phone just died"

I nodded "Maybe, but why would she lie to me?"

Kelly shrugged his shoulders "Maybe she's seeing someone"

I immediately looked up at him "Nah, she would've told. We don't keep secrets from each other. Well not since about three weeks ago. But she would've told me if she's seeing someone"

Kelly nodded "I'm sorry she isn't here. But if I hear from her I'll be sure to let you know"

I nodded and backed away from the door "Thanks" I said before I turned around and left

The next day at work I walked in and did the normal routine I always do. I saw Taylor at her desk and approached her

"Hey sis" I smiled

"Hey" She flashed a smile back "What's up?"

"I went over to Kelly's yesterday to drop off some papers. You weren't there and he said he hadn't talk to you since a couple days. Where were you?"

"Uh, I" Yup, something up

"Hey, Taylor. I need you in the surveillance room. We gotta check something out" Mouse said walking over to us

Taylor looked at me and stood up "I'll get back to you on that" She gave me a weary smile and left with Mouse

Taylor's P.O.V.

I exhaled in relief. That was too close. Mouse and I headed down to the surveillance room, after getting there he closed the door. I walked over to the computers but saw nothing on the screen

"Uh, what did we need to check out?" I turned around to look at him

"Oh we didn't it just looked like you needed to get out of there" He said with a shrug

I sat on the rolling chair behind me "Thanks. I did need to"

He walked over to the other chair next to me and sat down "But I do know your dating Antonio. I've seen the way you two look at each other"

I looked at him "Uh, what- what are you talking about?" I stuttered. I hated doing that

He chuckled "Come on, everyone with eyes can see it. Well expect Jay"

"Yea, look please don't tell anyone. I know you guys are best friends and I just"

He held his hand up "Say no more. I promise I won't"

I nodded at him "Thanks. I'm just kind of afraid to tell him"

"Why?"
