Taylor's P.O.V.

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said to be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment

"Well well, don't you boys look handsome" I said with a smile

Jay rolled his eyes "Shut up" He pushed my shoulder back lightly.

I stood with my hands in my pockets and laughed. We all stood downstairs in the garage at the district where we had the cage. Jay, Adam, and Antonio had a court appearance pretty much all day and were dressed in suits

"Are you sure? I mean I know I'm the only handsome one here" Antonio said walking up to me

I chuckled "Well yea your definitely the most handsome one in this room" He leaned in and we kissed

"Ugh okay guys get a room!" Adam exclaimed

I smiled and we pulled away "You guys have a good day"

"Psh not likely, a whole day at the court. I'd rather be cleaning our guns or even being with Platt behind the desk" Jay said in sort of an annoyance

"Alright guys come on we gotta go" Antonio said opening the garage

As soon as it opened the car was there while Jay and Adam began walking to it "Becareful" I said

Antonio pecked my lips "Always, I'll see you later" He said then caught up with the guys. I walked back upstairs, it wasn't a work day but I came for a couple hours to do some reports. I was working for about 10 minutes until I heard a voice coming up the stairs "Yea, reservations are set for Tony's. Okay I'll see you later. Okay bye"

I turned my head to see Mouse coming up the top step "Sooo" I sung making him turn to me "Reservations at Tony's? Who's the lucky girl?"

He nervously chuckled "Oh uh, her names Amara"

I nodded my head "Very nice I heard Tony's is hard to get into"

He scoffed "Yea, took my forever to get in"

"Well good luck tonight" I smiled and raised my eyebrows a couple times

He shook his head in a laugh and walked away. I noticed Platt coming up the stairs

"Taylor, you've got a visitor downstairs" She announced standing at the top step

I put my hand over my chest and opened my mouth to make a shocked expression "What? You finally came upstairs instead of sending someone else?"

She rolled her eyes "Just get down there Halstead" She scolded and began walking back down

I chuckled and stood up from my chair. I walked down and through the buzzer door. Platt pointed to someone on the bench across her desk. I turned and widened my eyes

"Hi"

"Outside now" I commanded grabbing that someone and shoving them to the door to go outside. We passed some police officers on the way out. We walked out the doors "What are you doing here Darren"

"Well it's nice to see you too Taylor"

I looked at him baffled "Wait your suppose to be in New York"

He raised his arms by his side then let them fall "Well I'm here now"

I rolled my eyes "How did you even find me?"

He peered up at the district then back at me "Working for the police now huh. Never would've imagined that"

I sighed "What are you doing here? What do you want?"

He held up his hands in defense "I just wanted to see you, how long has it been?"

"Too long. Look I'm pretty busy"

He snickered "Too busy to see an old friend?"

"It's good to see you Darren, but I gotta get back to work"

He nodded "Fair enough, but I'm going to be around. See you" He backed away before he turned and disappeared into the corner

I turned and walked back inside "So who was that?" Platt asked while I was walking to the stairs. I turned my head to her "Huh"

She was leaning on the desk "Your visitor" She pointed at the door "An old friend?"

"Uh yea, from New York" I said running my hands through my soft hair on the back of my head

"When were you in New York?"

I approached her desk while looking around hoping no one I knew was around "Years ago when I was a teenager"

She was giving me a tell me more look. I chuckled "Gotta get back to work" I turned and walked upstairs. I sat on my chair and let out a deep sigh. Memories from years ago entered my mind and floated everywhere

A couple hours later I only got through a couple files rather then doing a dozen or more. I grabbed my jacket and clocked out. I walked downstairs and walked to the door while I put my jacket on. I walked out the door and felt the cool crisp air

"Your back" I said stuffing my hands into my pockets before they become icicles

Darren nodded "I was actually just passing through hoping to catch you before you leave"

I exhaled "Okay" I began walking to the direction of my car

"Wait" I turned to him "Maybe we could walk together, catch up"

I pointed "I have my car"

"Well we'll double back, come on if can't hurt for you to walk"

I looked at my car, then looked back at him "Alright, fine" I said giving in. We began walking on the sidewalk

Antonio's P.O.V.

"What is so important you had to take me out of there?" I asked approaching Laura "Are the kids okay?"

"The kids are fine" She said pushing back her hair with her hand

"Okay" I said standing in front of her "What's the problem?"

"How well do you know your little girlfriend?"

I shook my head and sighed at the same time "I don't have time for this"

"So you didn't know your perfect girlfriend was a fugitive?" Her voice sounded serious

I looked at her bewildered "What? Look Laura, don't be talking about Taylor. You don't know her"

She brought out a large envelope from her purse "Looks like you don't either" She shoved the envelope in my chest and walked away
