Chapter 18

Taylor's P.O.V.

Christopher Reeve once said once you choose hope anything is possible

Firehouse 51, boy do I miss this place "Aren't you suppose to be at work?"

"I'm on my lunch break and I had a big breakfast" I smiled

Gabby nodded "Antonio is a good cook"

I gasp "Gabby" I softly shoved her shoulder with a laugh and she followed

"So you and Jay make up yet?"

"Yup" I added a little pop on the p "Jay and Antonio also made up"

"Hey T" Kelly said as he walked by "Chief wants to see you in his office"

"Wow, never thought I would hear that again" I chuckled. I walked through the door and walked to Boden's office. He was standing behind his desk going through reports with the door open. I knocked "You wanted to see me"

He looked up and put down his glasses along with the report "Ah yes, come in. Sit down" I walked in and sat on one chair

"How have you been. How's your leg?" He asked sitting down on his chair

I intertwined my hands together "I've been good and my leg has actually been really good. Getting better, stronger everyday"

He nodded "I'm going to cut to the chase Taylor. Newhouse has recently left us, he transferred to another firehouse and we have a spot open. Taylor I want you to fill that spot. I recently spoke to Dr. Rhodes and he approved"

I was pulled in, I couldn't believe what he was saying. I suddenly got so much energy and I almost opened my mouth to say yes. But than the district popped into my head. Antonio, Jay, Erin, and everyone else there. I didn't want to leave them, my work either I actually like to work there "I uh, can I uh think about it?"

"Of course take all the time you need" I felt my phone vibrating

"I gotta go" I said standing up "Thanks Chief. I'll get back to you"

He nodded and I walked out. I slide my finger on my phone "Hey Will" I said cheerfully

"Hey you got any plans tonight?"

"Uh yea, Antonio and I are going out"

He wined "You guys are always going out"

"Well you do work a lot too"

"Alright fair enough. Tomorrow night"

"Well I know we're all off tomorrow so how about lunch?"

"Hmm okay, see you later sis"

"Bye" I hung up. I said bye to everyone and walked to my car. After getting to the district I walked up to the door and walked inside "Hey Trudy" I cheerfully said as I walked up to her desk

She brought her eyes up to me "Only my husband Mouch calls me by my first name. It's Sergeant to you" The harshness came out cold from her voice
