Jay's P.O.V.
Shannon L. Alder once said the most intriguing people you will encounter in this life are the people who had insights about you, that you didn't know about yourself
I grabbed the papers from the front office at Stateville Prison "Thanks Greg" I nodded at him and turned to walk away
"No problem, hey tell your sister I said hi she's been here everyday for the past week"
I turned back to him "Wait what?"
"Yea" He said with a small smile but it soon faded when he noticed the expression on my face
"My sister has come here? Taylor?"
"Um yea she's come visit Derek Holt everyday for the past week" He took a swallow
I believed him but I wanted to see for myself "Can you pull up the records for me?"
He nodded his head and reached his hand to a large book. He brought it out and opened it up. There I saw it, she signed in everyday for the past week, and seeing the same person. This sent a wave of anger and disappointment. Why would she see the guy that wanted her dead? I nodded at him "Thanks" I turned around and pushed the door to walk out. I grabbed my phone and dialed Taylor's number
Taylor's P.O.V.
"Stay down!"
I watched as some guys entered after the blast. They had weapons, and a lot of them. They yelled at the people in the front. I turned my head to see Mouse next to me, he looked at me with the same expression as I had "Let's go, come on" I said. They were yelling at everyone else up front they didn't notice us leaving
We both stood up and ran as we still heard the yelling behind us. We turned the corner that led into a small hallway. Inside the hallway to the right were rooms of offices. About 4 or 5. We stayed ducked down in the hallway
"What the hell was that?" I asked
"I don't know, are you okay?" He asked
I nodded "Yea, you"
Mouse nodded his head. Gunshots began to fire and echo around the entire area followed by screams. We continued to duck but under instinct we ran away form the bullets. We ran all the way until we hit the last office
Mouse opened the door "Come on, in here"
I walked in and he walked in behind me shutting the door. I looked up and noticed other people inside the room, workers from the building who were attending the event. They looked just as afraid
"We'll be safe in here" Mouse said locking the door
"I hope" I mumbled under my breath. Mouse and I sat down sitting against the desk just like everyone
"We need to call someone" Mouse said
"All the lines from the office are dead" One girl sitting across from us said
"Cellphones" I said reaching into my pockets but they were all flat "Shit" I whispered "I left mine in my car"
"Great, mines dead" Mouse said looking at his blank screen
