Taylor's P.O.V.
Imania Margria once said our past is what molds us into the person we are today. It does not define us.
I sat on the back of the ambulance with a blanket over me. The ground was all I could stare at for quite sometime. Blood, that's all I saw as we left the building. It was a massacre, people were wounded pleading for help. And Jasmine, she was my friend. And there her body laid with a gunshot wound to her head and many more all over her body
"Taylor"
I looked up to see Jay making his way to me. Or perhaps running his way to me "Jay" I whispered and stood up
He hugged me after approaching me. I hugged back and man it felt good to hug him. Because for a second I thought I wasn't going to see him again
"Are you okay? What happened?" He asked pulling away and examining me
I nodded my head "Yea I'm fine. I don't know what it was, terrorist maybe"
"Taylor!"
I looked over Jay's shoulder and saw Antonio running to us "Hey, Taylor. You alright?" He embraced me as he approached me
I hugged him back tightly "Yea, yea I'm good"
"What happened?" He asked as he pulled away
I shrugged my shoulders "Some maniacs they came into the building shooting at everyone"
"We're you hurt?"
"No I'm good. I'm okay. Can we go back to the district? There are some files in the computer I have to check on"
"What? No way your going home" Jay pushed
"You guys I'm fine really"
"Well that's not really us to decide" Antonio said looking over my shoulder
Brett approached us and practically heard everything. She leaned against the ambulance "Her blood pressure is fine and she's doing good. She's okay to go wherever she wants"
I slightly smiled "Thanks Brett"
"Just don't to anything extreme like running a lot"
I chuckled and she walked away. I turned back to the guys "Can we please go to the district it won't take long"
Antonio and Jay sighed "Okay, let's go" I hopped into Antonio's car. After getting to the station I went straight to my desk to check on the files while Antonio and Jay went elsewhere. I finished quickly and not soon after I found myself in the locker room sitting on the bench
Flashbacks began filling my mind. The man pointing the gun at us. The other one staring me down. And the freezing cold air that was circulating the room. I looked down at my hands and noticed how they were shaking, extremely. It was like it was uncontrollable, I couldn't stop shaking
"Hey"
I held my hands together while I looked up to see Jay standing at the doorway. I sniffed and swallowed "Hey"
