Someone once said insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again, but expecting different results

Antonio's P.O.V.

Our eyes instantly met "Hi" She finally spoke

I stepped aside "Come in"

She stepped forward and inside the house. I closed the door and that's when the awkwardness began. I stuck my hands in my jean pockets and simply stood still

"Are you hungry?" I asked slowly moving to the living room

She shook my head "I ate earlier at the district, but thanks"

Man things were awkward "I have the guest bedroom ready. Whenever you want to go up and sleep"

She nodded "Thanks, I am pretty tired so I think I am gonna go up and sleep"

"Yea, I'll be in my room if you need me" I raised my hand and rubbed the back of my head

She gave me a wiry smile and walked away

I watched as she walked away. I was right, and so was Gabby. I should've never broken up with her. I sighed and made my way to my room. I walked in and simply sat on my bed. I sat for about 5 minutes until I stood up again and my legs took over control. By the time I knew it I was at the guest bedroom's door. The door was closed but I stood right in front, it took everything in me not to knock on the door.

-

Taylor sat on the bed just thinking and thinking. All she wanted to do was talk to Antonio, she stood up and walked quietly to the front of the door. She picked up her hand slowly and grabbed onto the doorknob. She felt weird, as if he was standing on the other side.

-

I rolled my hand into a fist and raised it to the door. I was about to knock but my hand stayed up instead not moving a muscle. I only stayed in that position for almost a minute before I let down my hand and slowly walked away

-

Taylor took a quiet swallow wanting to turn her hand and open the door but she didn't. She moved her hand down to her side. For almost a minute she stood still but something came over her. She grabbed the doorknob and twisted it. She heard her heart gave a soft thump as it fell to the ground. He wasn't there.

-

I walked back into my room and walked to the window. I pulled down a part of the blind to look outside. Even though I didn't want it Voight insisted having a patrol car outside. I laid on my bed and exhaled deeply. I took out my phone and pulled up my pictures. About half of my pictures were about Taylor and I. I spent 30 minutes looking through them until I did what I swore not to do. Fall asleep, leaving Taylor unprotected if anything happened.

Taylor's P.O.V.

I watched the patrolmen outside just sitting there. I sighed and laid on the bed, I didn't want to fall asleep. I knew I was safe because of the patrolmen outside, the locked house, and Antonio in the other room. What didn't help was the comfortable bed I was laying on. Within 5 minutes I was out like a light.

I woke up to the loud thundering that sounded like it was coming from inside the room. My eyes flew open and I sat up looking around. Again it came and my eyes widen when I noticed the open window. I quickly stood up and shut it tight; I know I didn't open it at all. The door was wide open and I began walking to it to check on Antonio, maybe he opened it. As soon as I walked out of the room I heard noise downstairs. I willingly began to make my way downstairs. I saw the lighting outside and heard the thunder clapping not soon after. After making it downstairs I made sure the front door that was right in front was locked.

I turned to face the living room and kitchen. It didn't help that the lights were off but the lighting gave off some light every few seconds. I reached for the lamp but it wouldn't turn on. I then reached for the switch to turn on the main lights but again, it didn't work. Fear began to run among me when I knew what was going on. He's here, and he cut the power

My legs ran to the kitchen quickly and grabbed a knife from the table. I heard noise in the next room which was the living room. I tried to stay calm but every nerve in my body was telling me to run, to Antonio. I kneed down next to the kitchen cabinet so I can hopefully hardly be seen. I moved slowly but didn't hear much noise anymore

I stood up but continued to hold the knife firmly. I turned my head to look outside and he was standing outside in the rain looking in at me. I let out a strong scream and kneed back down. My legs and arms were shaking uncontrollably. I heard the thunder clap and lighting enter the room.

Again I let out a sharp scream when I felt a pair of arms wrap around me

"Shhh, it me it's me" I heard Antonio's voice behind me

I calmed down for a short second but kept the knife firmly in my hand "He's outside" I said very frantically

"Stay here" He whispered as he stood up and ran outside like it was nothing

I stayed in the ground softly sobbing but I never let go of the knife. The thunder and lighting only continued but out of all that I didn't hear Antonio. I finally stood up with my legs aching from being in that position for some time. I looked around and kept turning trying to find him. I shrieked when I felt someone grab onto my shoulder

"It's me" I heard Antonio's voice behind me

As soon as I turned around he was standing there, soaked. He had the most concerned look at his face. I stared at him and stood completely still

"It's okay, he's gone"

I swallowed hard

"You can let go of the knife, it's okay" He went for my hand which was still gripping the knife

I was shaking but I willingly let go of the knife. He set it down on the table. He grabbed onto my arms and looked at me making sure I wasn't physically hurt. I knocked some sense into myself. I looked up at him and within a split second my arms were around his neck

"It's okay" He whispered as he wrapped his arms around me

I hadn't realized how soaked it was, and I was getting soaked too. I didn't care though, I just felt safe. He held me tightly and never let go for about 5 minutes. When he finally did we both pulled away and our faces were only inches away.
