Kade's POV
It all made sense. It was all a distraction; the goal was too lead us astray from the true meaning. As I walked out of my office, my Beta, Cris, began speaking to me through mind-link.
"Alpha, the Luna of the Dark Forest pack is here at the territory line . She is here to speak to the Luna, and only the Luna," relayed Cris.
I thanked him. I knew that I had to find and tell Zoe; I went to look for her.
She lay on our bed, her face held serenity. I walked over to the bed. I smiled, then kissed her on the tip of her nose. My smile grew as she blinked her eyes a few times. I sat down next to where she was, and kissed her on the lips. Zoe began to laugh, and she kissed me back.
"An Alpha wishes to speak with you. Alone."
