They ran at each other.

Kade immediately drew out his claws. He slashed them across Calum's back, and then he fully shifted into his wolf. Calum stared at him with a look of hatred. Then, he smirked his seemingly trademark smirk.

"Your mum loved me ya know. She often told that she loved me more than her actual mate. She said that she wish that she had found me sooner than your worthless father. Instead, your poor mum got your father, and then, even more sadly, you," taunted Calum.

I could see the hurt as it flashed across Kade's eyes. Those comments had touched him somewhere deep in his soul. Retaliating, Kade threw himself in front of Calum, and shifted back into human form. His face held no emotion, and I suddenly felt as though my heart was being ripped from my chest. Calum had dragged his claws along Kade's chest. Sitting down, I continued to watch the brutal fight.

Again and again Calum and Kade punched each other in human form. Then, after about an hour, they both shifted. Calum's wolf was just a bit shorter than Kade's, but, at the time, I was the only one who seemed to have noticed. Kade bit down on Calum's hind leg and ripped. The wound had already begun to heal as soon as it had been torn. Calum snarled at everyone, and limped to the centre of the ring. He then proceeded to run directly at Kade and ram him into the ground. At that precise moment, I felt the baby inside me kick. Smiling, in what felt like the first time in a long time, my eyes snapped back up to the match. Before Calum could hit him again, Kade shifted back into his human form. Calum, stayed in his wolf form, but ran at Kade again anyway. As he jumped up, he shifted into his human form, and knocked Kade to the ground once more. He began to punch the living daylights out of him. Then, as he was about to deliver one last punch, Kade shifted underneath him. He bit down on his stomach and ripped the skin off. Kade then Shifted back into his human from, extended his claws, and dragged then down his stepfather's throat. In one last attempt to destroy him, Calum, stunk his claws into Kade's chest, then died.

I ran over to Kade. I felt his slowing heart, and his even shallower breaths. Cris ran over. He shouted for the pack doctor, and helped me stand up. Once the doctor arrived, Kade was rushed to the hospital. After he had left, I could felt my head begin to drop. My world went blurry, then black.

"Luna, Zoe, are you alright?"

I sat up, I realised I was in my room. It was mid-morning. Turning to my left, I noticed Kade was not there. As I began to ask Cali where he was, I remembered the events of the previous evening. Once I had gotten changed, Cali re-entered the room. She gave me a sad smile, and led me downstairs. Walking had gotten more and more difficult as my due date drew nearer. Once I was downstairs, I was greeted by several pack members and they all gave me the same sad smile Cali had given me.

"We are going to the hospital. The doctor will be able to answer any and all of your questions," stated Cali quickly as we walked out of the front door.

The pack hospital was about ten minutes away, and we were silent the entire way there. Upon arrival, I ran/walked as fast as my legs could carry me to the hospital room Kade was in. He was just laying there. His heart monitor was steadily rising and falling. I did not think I had ever seen him look so vulnerable. The doctor walked in and sighed.

"The Alpha is in a confusing condition. His wolf is healing. But we have found traces of silver and wolfsbane in his scratches, meaning that Calum had washed his hands in it or taken it in small doses. Alpha Kayden may be out for another two to three days. It is to my greatest knowledge that he will be healed before you are due next week. He is stable, and you may remain here as long as you like," explained the doctor.

Thanking her, I moved a chair by the hospital bed. I sat there for hours, stroking Kade's hair. He never moved. He never blinked. The only thing moving was the rise and fall of his chest as he breathed.
