So much happened in the two weeks that followed. Training programs were finished, tunnels had been completed, and a few pups shifted for the the first time. I had been told by the pack doctor to be sitting down for at least two hours a day, and sleep for a minimum of ten. That left me with minimal time to accomplish pack events. I hated having to sit fort long periods of time, and wanted to stretch my legs.

After having spent two hours on the phone with Luna Michelle, I decided that I had had enough. As I walked down the front steps, I ran into Marne. She smiled and took my hand. I invited her to walk with me. She replied with a "yes" and we set off down the road.

"How far along are you Luna," asked Marne with an undertone of excitement.

"I have one week left until the due date," I replied.

"Have you and the Alpha come to an agreement on the room colours?"

"We have not, but we know for sure that Kade is building the crib either this evening or tomorrow evening."

Smiling, she nodded. We had arrived at the car park. Mind-linking Kade, I told him that Marne and I were going to pick up paint, and rugs for the nursery. We got into the car, and drove to the closet human town.

The town was small and close-knit. When we got to the home store, we were greeted warmly. We chose three colours; light grey, lilac, and a soft mint green. Putting the paints into the shopping trolley, we moved on to the rug section. As I searched through the rugs, I felt a pair arms snake around my waist. Grinning, I turned to face Kade. He smiled back, and grabbed a blue and lilac rug. Placing it in the cart, he thanked Marne, then she left.

"Why did you leave? I though you were in a training session. You know you are not suppose to skip out on training," I began.

"I finished. I also wanted to help you," Kade replied simply.

Nodding my head, I dragged him to the check-out. Kade put everything onto the counter, and paid the amount. Once the paint and rug had been loaded into the boot of the car, Kade drove us back to the main house.

We were greeted with a grim-looking Cali and Cris. It was time. Kade had to fight his step-father. There was a huge circle with people who stood around the edges. Standing at the centre of the ring was Kade's step-father - Calum Hindings.

He smirked. I had the great urge to punch that smug look off his face, but I knew to leave it up to Kade.

"So, you are Kayden's pathetic mate. Zoe, right," he said with great arrogance.

So I punched him. He turned to face me while holding his nose. Smiling, I replied.

"My name is Zoe. I will have you know that I was a warrior before I met Kayden, and you better watch yourself."

Calum raised an eyebrow and laughed.

"Well, you do not really scare me. You are a crazy, delusional  pregnant girl; who has never even had Luna training. It will not matter though, you will not be Luna after Kayden dies, and I will be Alpha. Your child will be fatherless and you will fight your stupid war alone," he stated.

"If and when I become Alpha, anyone who fights in this war shall be committed for treason, and, if you come back, will be sentenced to exile. Without your family," announced Calum proudly.

"Well luckily, you are not going to beat me, so...," replied Kade as he walked into the ring.

Walking over to me, Kade gave me a quick peck on the cheek and one on my swollen stomach as well. He stepped closer to Calum. Once they were on opposite side, I read the rules.

"This fight is for the Alpha position. It is a fight to the death. Whoever wins shall be made Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack, and the same Beta and Gamma (third) shall remain in their positions, while the Luna shall be removed along with any and all children. Rule One: there will be no time limit. Rule Two: you may alternate between your wolf and human form freely. And Rule Three: no playing dirty. That means no soil flinging or spitting. The Beta will announce the start and finish of the fight, along with the winner," I finish with a shaky voice.

"Talk to you later my love," Kade said with a wink.

Calum stared at me and smirked. I faced him with my face holding no emotion. The two stared at each other. Cris yelled, "Fight" and they ran at each other.
