I usually don't include many authors notes so you all get to read the story more, but I found it important so... FOR THE SAKE OF THE STORY PLEASE READ!

The rest of the book will be in a time skip.
This meaning, instead of Steve being 16 and Bucky being 18... We are skipping ahead 10 years so they are in their mid 20's like before the war.
Bucky and Steve have since then grown into the people that we would recognize from Captain America: The First Avenger in efforts to tie the story in with the movie a little bit.
And so your not confused:
-Steve's mom is dead already
-He still lives in the apartment, Bucky still spending time there, but not as much so they kinda grew apart just a little
-Bucky's family has grown up along with them, so keep that in mind as any characters come back into the story
-Steve is still persistent about joining the military
That being said...
I have a feeling you might enjoy the rest of the story.
