It's 2057, and the human world has separated into two races: Normals, or regular sized humans, and Miniatures, a unique race of five-inch-tall humans who are sold, kept, and treated as pets by Normals. Most Miniatures are horribly abused and separated from the rest of their kind, kept in cages and experimented on. But when one Normal girl, Hannah Peterson, finds a stray Miniature on the same day she is given one as a pet, and decides to keep them both, the events that unfold couldn't have been predicted by anyone.
