Hayley suddenly seemed to be everywhere. Her locker was in front of mine, her lunch table was a few meters away from mine, and turns out, she had three classes with me. It was unbelievable and as I sat in Physics class, I couldn't help but stare at her.

The teacher was talking, explaining Newton's law, and Hayley was listening attentively. I was doing the exact opposite by staring at Hayley, ignoring our teacher. I couldn't help it and staring at the admittedly cute girl, I took her in.

Her head was resting on her hand and her other hand was scribbling notes down quickly. I noticed that her nerd styled glasses were sliding down her nose, exposing these stunning hazel eyes. And even though she looked awfully serious, there was something so freaking adorable about her. Maybe her innocence or maybe the way she bit her lip as she thought was what it was, but either way I seemed unable to stop looking at her.

With my eyes on the quiet girl, I wondered about her. Who was she, I wondered. I had never seen her before and now that my eyes were glued to her, I wondered about who she was as a person. Was she funny? Smart? Kind? What were her fears? Dreams? And what kind of guys was she into.

Shaking my head suddenly, I wondered what was up with me. I wasn't the type of guy to care about others - especially strangers. All that mattered to me was myself and my mom, and as long as the both of us were satisfied, I couldn't care less about anything else. But suddenly, this girl was becoming someone I was unable to stop staring at. She was becoming someone who filled my thoughts. It was strange, so I forced myself to look away.

Staring at my blank sheet of paper, I thought about how maybe the weed was finally getting to my head. Girls meant nothing to me. I wasn't into romance so I wondered why this girl was suddenly infiltrating my mind.

Again in Calculus, I found myself unable to stop staring at Hayley. I would force my eyes away from her, but slowly, as if I was a compass and she was north, my eyes would go back to her. They always seemed to move to where she was and I couldn't help but groan quietly. This was becoming troublesome.

During free time, Carter was working on calculus homework and my eyes stayed glued to Hayley. She sat next to the class president, Dylan, and together they seemed to be working on some problems. Dylan was apparently this attractive, nice guy and staring at him, something unpleasant twisted within me. When Hayley laughed at something he said, that feeling worsened.

"Dude," Carter said, forcing me to look at him. "Why do you keep staring at Hayley?"

"I don't know," I said, frowning. "What does it mean when you can't stop thinking about a girl?"

Carter looked surprised by that, but suddenly he gave me a sly smirk. He looked amused and staring at him, I wondered what happened.

"Logan," he said, his voice teasing. "You have a crush."

"What," I blurted out immediately. "No."

Carter chuckled and my eyes widened, staring at him. There was no way I had a crush. No way on a girl I didn't know at all. Carter was just speaking nonsense.

"I don't even know her," I whispered, feeling odd about talking about this. "How could I like her?"

"Do you want to know her?" Carter asked.
