Lean Arrives Finally
Lean arrived at last but alone
"Glad you could make it." Sarcasm
"We'll see how glad you are." Lean smiled.
"Where's 3Gun, "CG asked
"3Gun went after Steel's trail."
"3Gun won't be pleased to know
that we have Steel."
Lean tipped her hat back and nodded.
"You might be right. But who knew?
We learned that Croc shot her
but then fled, leaving her with the
stolen supplies.
She said the map Lean had
showed where Croc was growing
the cocopops.
Did you check all the supplies?"
Lean asked Crazygoose.
"Still counting boxes." CG said. "But I
already published an edition of the paper
about 3Gun being the official sheriff
and the fact that Steel was still missing."
"Now you have more news, quit worrying."
stannbear shook his head and warily watched lean.
