Raven arrived at the saloon
with Lean's last will
and the shocking news
that Hunter did kill
Lean, with a single bullet
to her heart, then stole
her horse and did depart.
The knell from the church tower
confirmed it was over
No more would we see
Lean Copper Clover
Nobody could speak
didn't know what to say
But in Busted Gulch history
this would be a black day
Raven read from the list
when the crying was through
She'd bequeathed a few things
to the people she knew
Things familiar to all,
each with its own tale,
that would safeguard her memory
from the grim reaper's veil
It was hard to believe
their old friend was gone
That swaggering girl they first knew,
moving on
Who brought light to their lives
and smiles to their hearts
So they printed a eulogy
to read, before she departs
