Not Even Half a Day as Deputy
stannbear sat with his feet up on the desk
he was the law in the Gulch
but the jail was empty and there was no crime
all he had to do was laundry
Kae had been kidnapped, or so she said
but aside from checking her room
over the store, he had no place to look
Nothing from CG's informants
He decided to do a walk around and just
let everyone know he was on the job
First stop, the saloon. He'd start with a beer.
He raised the glass just as little Ron
ran in with the latest edition of the paper
He bumped into stannbear and spilled his beer
all over his clean shirt. stannbear glanced at the
picture of himself in the mud in the meadow,
took little Ron by the ear and marched
him down the street to the newspaper office
