It's Been Decided
Suddenly the map reappeared
But it was as they all feared
The best way
To get to Kae
Without delay
Was to pass through the mines
Most agreed the path too dangerous
They can do it without the fuss
What they need to do
Is find a canoe
And row up stream for a few
Until they reach the pines.
So no more talk about maps and things
They decided to go old fashioned and
Not with wings.
But Ruechari tied on a note
And this is what she wrote.
Take care Kae,
We're on our way
Making haste
No time to waste
If away, you manage to sneak
Head yourself away from the peak
We will meet you along the creek.
Ruechari whispers to the bird
"Now go to Kae,"
knowing, she was heard.
She held out her hands
The pigeon took flight.
Knowing they may need to fight,
Rue said,
"Let's load up on supplies.
We don't need any surprise,
We'll get one chance to get this right."
Stannbear said, "No, no, no!!!
The town can't afford any more dough.
Not one more penny will be spent
On this he would not relent.
Even if it were for canoe rent.
"No need to worry,"
Said Ruechari
"I got the money
This rescue is on me."
CG was none to pleased
To be left behind with her worries
Nothing to comfort except her muffins
Started to devour them by the dozens
Until one went down the wrong way
And she began to cough
Realizing the rest have gone off
Leaving only stannbear behind
CPR sprung to mind
"Oh hell no!" She spit it out.
That's somewhere she would not go.
Rue, Billy, and Raven
Started paddling.
"It's been awhile
Since I've been at the Gulch.
So Raven keep in mind
that I know zilch."
"Hope you can give us a clue,
Of what we're up against,
What we should do?"
Raven said,
"Unknown is from where she came
Or why wild cats around her are so tame.
Anyway, she knows to trick the human mind;
Best would be to face her 'blind'.
Just once, many, many years ago,
There was a circus show
The troupe, however did part;
Question is: Where did they go to?"
