Wakin' Up
CG woke with a start
to a vacant room
and stannbear's broom
needin' new parts.
Stumblin' out the front door
CM got a lovin' peck
her arms around his neck
but he slipped off causin' an uproar.
CG heard and smiled
at lyrics emotionally styled
creatin' a melodious sound
lingerin' in the background.
Wantin' to hear no more
of mountain, plains and river shore
her office was too far
wishin' she had a milky bar.
Back inside, shut the door tight
and began to write
the newsprint was overdue
she slept, unable to continue.
