Flames were visibly engulfing every inch of him but all he could ever think of was that he was falling. The wind blew so hard upon his face – making the blazes grew brighter and, as the fire cultivated, the velocity accelerated. Yet he felt more thrilled and fervent instead of miffed and frustrated as the clock continued to tick: for he was falling – he was finally falling.

He tried to open his eyes and see through the infernos but closed it as instantly when he realized that he was about to land. The beyond-boiling-point temperature around him didn't bother him however the thought of how painful crushing on the ground could be made his heart pound overwhelmingly inside his ribcage. Adrenaline was rushing through his veins and the gravity pulling him closer made the feeling worse.

A garish sound echoed through the space when the Earth finally caught him. He lay motionless as his body seemed to stop working for he felt nothing that it made him consider the fact that he might be dead. Even so, the whispers of his brain helped him into forming a conclusion that he was indeed alive. Nevertheless, his reasons were slowly consumed by ebony as his senses found home...

The man with a hair a hue lighter than his pale beige skin could feel the midnight zephyr sooth the bruises and wounds he caught when the world decided to embrace him. His body was practically screaming in agony but it just made the smile on his lips grew wider.

Helios' eardrums finally became aware of the existence of sound waves but the intensity of vibrations didn't somehow help his head to comprehend. His mind was woozy because of the impact but its instincts didn't diminish even a digit.

"Hey!" Helios heard a voice called when the war in his lobes finally settled. The walls of his eyes sluggishly moved to allow him see who's behind the voice and, when his mind finally work, his heart almost hurdled off his ribcage and his lungs forgot how to exhale.

He was greeted by a face a shade brighter than the pewter blaze of the moon reflected upon the rivers. Decorated with a smile far enticing than the argentine line along the horizon. Silky strands with the hues of aurum flowed freely with the monsoon. Her eyes were of galaxies imprisoned in a smaragdine sapphire sphere matching her dress of a fully-bloomed hyacinth.

"Oh, thank gods, you're alive!" exclaimed the voice far sweeter than Apollo's harp as the asteroids in her lenses move to emphasize her innocence. Helios blinked a few times to make sure she's yet another masterpiece of his mind. "Are you alright?" she asked when she descried that he was staring at her but instead of looking away, Helios looked deeper into her eyes. He knew he'll drown if he wouldn't turn his gaze away yet that single desire of his heart was stronger than the gazillion reasons of his brain. His soul wanted to see more of her depths that his mind finally gave in to the temptation of knowing more than her name.

Helios wanted to thank her, to tell her he's more than okay mostly because of her. But all that his wits managed to construct was, "do you have a wish?"

"A what?" she asked, confusion was written all over her face. Helios groaned to himself in disappointment. 'Of all the phrases!' he scolded the muscles in his skull.

"A-a wish," the lad staggeringly confirmed, unable to decide what he'd feel among the emotions churning in his belly, as his face flushed crimson. "Isn't that what fallen stars supposed to grant?"

Her eyes widened in amusement. "You're a star?"

Helios just nodded at the young maiden's query as he tried to shift in a more comfortable position. 'Crushing isn't as bad as I thought,' he told himself. The soreness of his muscles was vanishing and his senses were somehow grasping their reasons back. Then the universe turned a hue brighter as a mellifluous euphony echoed, making his circulatory system once again in disarray.
