The sun was shining brightly with its rays touching everything within reach, but the temperature inside the dome was always fixed from 30 to 34 degrees Celsius at morning and 20 to 25 at night. Advanced and state-of-the-art buildings were seen in every corner, making the houses near looked like dwarves. Cars and other vehicles had been already extinct, making teleportation and jet pack flying the only source of transportation. Its people were living harmoniously, not a sign of pain on their faces and were contented with what they have, a simple life with no challenges. In the center of everything, the city hall stood magnificently. In there were hundreds of employees, having fun with their work in making Lannatopia more perfect than it is.

"Okay class, that's all for today's trip. You may now pack your things and go home." Cheerfully, the students put away their smart phones, the only thing they need for studying, as they talked about how fun it was discovering new knowledge about the apocalypse. Astonishment was evident in their eyes as they got to see the miserable event first hand and were glad that they're living in a world free from the misery in the past.

Finishing their small chats, they said their goodbyes to each other and left the room. Even though a smile was on her face, a pool of sadness was starting to build up inside Isha. With arms crossed on her chest, she felt that teaching the pitiful history of former Earth to the children wasn't right and imprinting on their brains that everything should be perfect obviously lacks the true meaning of living one's life. Well, the government does like everything in order. She stood up from her seat and looked through the glass wall of the room. 'If there were only ways to show everyone how fulfilling it is to live in a world full of flaws and trials,' she pondered.

Consumed by her thoughts, Isha blinked for a moment and checked the time on her nail-sized watch. It was already 17: 24. She briskly shuffled to the door and scanned the area for any life form, real or not, before commanding to lock itself. She went back to her floating desk and tapped a few buttons to open the lowest drawer. There it laid a tablet-like device called time machine. She inputted codes on the device to bring her back 2,011 years in the past in a small crib in California. After a few clicks, she pressed the flashing green button and off she went.

The whole ride wasn't comfortable. With eyes tightly shut, ear splitting noises were filling her eardrums as an unknown current was electrocuting her body. Slowly, her senses came back as a sign that she's near to her destination. When she felt the ground on her two wobbly feet, she opened her eyes.

Isha found herself in a cluttered apartment, the odor of burning food welcoming her nostrils. She followed the smell all the way to the kitchen, not surprised at who she saw.

"Oh! You're here!" the guy exclaimed, dark green eyes widely open.

"Jollan? What are you doing?" she giggled. It was the first time she saw her boyfriend wearing a goofy apron.

"Well, I was planning to give you a surprise dinner. But I kinda burned the main course," he stammered. The girl laughed and wrapped her arms around the wannabe cook, inhaling his alcohol scent that was clearly from his late night parties again.

"Don't worry, I'm surprised. Thank you," she sang. Jollan stole a smooch and said, "Anything for you," with the smell of cigarette lingering on his every word.

An hour had passed when they finished tidying the whole place. While the lady vacuumed the living room and washed the clothes, the man finished the dishes, cooked some soup and set up a romantic table for two at the apartment's veranda.

"Baby, c'mon outside," Jollan called out.

Isha made her way to the table and gave a sincere smile when he helped her to her seat. The table was covered with white linen cloth. Three candles were lit on top and two glasses of red wine were already served. The view there also showed how lively the city was during the night. Flattered by the efforts, she didn't notice Jollan was gone until he came back with a pot of soup and placed it on the table, pouring some in their bowls.
