The next two months of summer fly by so fast. I continue to make covers with Lin on periscope, Hamilton becomes even more popular, I get in more trouble with Lexi much to the annoyance of Anthony. I feel completely at home in the theater. I am so grateful for how everything turned out.

[Olivia's POV]

My obnoxious alarm clock jolts me awake and rips me from my dream. Leave it Lin to pick out the alarm clock that plays Brittany Spears music instead of an actual alarm sound.

Today is my first day of my junior year in high school. Yay. Fun. Hooray. Celebrate good times come one! Is it clear that I am not excited about going back? Thank God that it is a Friday so I only have to go today and then have the weekend to recover.

I roll out of my bed and begin to get ready. Jazzy helped me pick out my outfit last night, she said I needed to look hot and make a good impression. I quickly shower and blow dry my hair then I put on a tight red crop top and black high waisted skinny jeans. I slipped into my black chunky heels and went on to do my hair. It's long curls fell down my back, I pulled the top half of my hair up into a ponytail sporting a half up half down look. I put on a thick coat of black mascara and highlighted and bronzed my face as well as filling in my eyebrows. I was satisfied with my appearance but swiped on my favorite Chapstick and then took it to bring with me to school.

I grabbed my back pack from my room and threw a notebook, folder, a few pens, and a book inside of it. I then ran down stairs to the kitchen.

I quickly ate a peach and fed India, Lin came in while I was eating.

"Morning, Olivia!" He chirped. How does he have so much energy at 7 in the morning? "Wanna stop by the coffee shop before I drop you off at school?"

"Sure, we should probably leave now." I said hopping off the kitchen stool.

"Oh I almost forgot.. The cast and I all pitched in to buy you something for your first day. It is long over due and you will definitely need it this year." He says.

"No, Lin. I can't accept anything. You don't need to." I protest.

"No, I insist. Here you go." He says and hands me a poorly wrapped present. "Sorry about the wrapping, Daveed wanted to wrap it and failed to mention that he is terrible at doing it."

I laughed and opened it up to find an iPhone.

"It's the newest version.. I hope you like it." He says.

"Lin.. Thank you, you really shouldn't have.. But thank you." I say hugging him. I slip my new phone into my back pocket and walk with him to his car.

We run into the shop and grabbed coffees and then drove to my school.

When we arrived, his car was surrounded by a lot of people. They were all screaming his and my name. It was a little scary. He pulled up to the front of the school and jumped out after saying goodbye.

The group of people ran to me and asked me a bunch of questions like whether they could come and meet the cast, or if I could sit with them at lunch. It was crazy, I had gone to this school for 3 years now and none of these people ever even noticed me before. I made my way up the stairs and into the school finding some peace in the quiet hallway.

I went to my homeroom right away to get my schedule, I didn't need to stop at my locker because we didn't have any supplies yet.

I ran into the class and grabbed my schedule and went to my first class, pre-calc honors. Most would groan at having math first thing in the morning but I personally enjoy it. When I was living in my abusive homes school work was something I turned to to keep my mind off of things. I enjoyed learning, but I definitely did not enjoy going to school.

I sat in the back row next to a girl whose name I didn't know. She was pretty but quiet, she was keeping to herself.

"Hey, I'm Spencer." She said, reaching her hand out towards me.

"Olivia." I said extending mine to shake hers.

We began to talk about school and how horrible this year will probably be. She was really cool, she didn't seem to care that I was adopted by Lin, she didn't even bring it up.

The teacher interrupted our conversation by calling for the class's attention. He took attendance and then introduced himself and then handed out the syllabus going over what we will cover in this class. The rest of my classes went the same way, Spencer and I had quite a few classes together. We exchanged numbers at the end of the day and then I walked home.

Lin had offered to give me a ride home but I declined, I wanted to have some time to myself anyways. I went to the coffee shop and ordered a tea and went to the back of the room, it had become my go to place. It was a little love seat surrounded by plants and local artist's artwork, it was sort of secluded from the rest of the room. It was quiet, comforting.

I began to work on some homework that my teachers so boldly assigned on the first day. Mostly it was just review from last years classes so I didn't really mind.

My phone beeped, I had gotten a text.

Spencer : hey, wanna come to a party with me tonight? I can pick you up.

Me : Ya sounds fun. Time?

Spencer : 7:00, I will pick you up at the theater

Me : see you then!

It was only 4:30 so I had a lot of time left, I decided to head home because Lin had wanted to make another cover on periscope.

Last year was so horrible, I didn't have any friends, never got invited to parties.. Maybe this year will be different. Perhaps it won't be as bad as I thought it will, because I now have a friend.

Lin began to record and I played my guitar and surprised him with one of his favorite songs, The Crane Wife 3. He naturally sang with me and it was a blast.

After we were done, I went upstairs to get ready for the party. I didn't feel like changing so I decided to wear what I already had on, it was cute anyways. I touched up my makeup and then went outside to wait for Spencer.

Hello everyone, next chapter is going to be pretty intense so stay tuned (:
