Lin still doesn't know that we are in love with each other. I breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Olivia wont have to be questioned about that. Lin just thinks I'm her friend. Not anymore.

[Lin's POV]
2 weeks later
As I am making breakfast I see Olivia walk into the kitchen wearing a t-shirt and sweatpants. Ever since the hospital, she no longer wears long sleeves in the house. Although I am proud that she isn't ashamed of her scars, every time that I see them I am reminded of how much pain she was in.
"Hey sweetheart, I was just about to make some pancakes. Want some?" I ask casually.
She hesitates but then says, "Sure."
I smile and grab the mix from the cabinet.
"What are you thinking of doing today?" I ask her as she sits on the kitchen counter.
"I was going to have my friend Ben come over and help me get caught up with school work if that's okay?" She asks.
"Of course!" I say with a smile. "Is Ben a uh.. Special friend?"
"No, Lin. Just a friend." She says blushing. I laugh and drop the question not wanting to embarrass her.
A few minutes later I pile up pancakes on a plate and hand it to her. She gives me a half smile and begins to eat them slowly. I grab myself some and sit with her so she isn't alone.
"Ben just texted me and said he will be here in like twenty minutes." She says.
"Great." I say. "You guys can hang out in the living room."
"Why can't he be in my room?" She questions.
"Olivia, I am not going to let you bring a boy into your room. I don't know what his intentions are!" I say. She bursts out laughing which brings a smile to my face.
We finish breakfast and the door bell rings. Olivia raises her eyebrows at me which I take as my cue to leave.
[Olivia's POV]
I run to my room and throw on a sweatshirt so that he wont see my scars. Just because I am not ashamed of them, doesn't mean I want every person I know to see them.
I open the door and see Ben smiling at me. His brown wavy hair sits messily on his head and he is wearing a pair of glasses.
"Hey! Come on in." I say and hold the door open for him.
"How have you been?" He asks me when we sit down on the couch.
"I've been alright. You?" I respond, pulling out my books from my backpack.
"Same with me. You've been gone from school for awhile." He comments.
I don't think I want to tell people about my visit at the hospital, it's just kind of embarrassing. "Yeah, Lin took me to Puerto Rico for this business thing." I internal slap myself for lying that much.
"Oh, that's cool." He says. "Okay.. Um, want to start with math?"
"Yeah, sure." I say. We work on school work for about an hour, I occasionally see Lin peer around the corner to check on us.
"Thank you so much for helping me out, Ben. I really appreciate it." I say once we are finished for the day.
"Yeah, it's no problem." He says standing up. He begins to walk towards the door when he turns around and says, "Hey, do you maybe want to go do something? My little sister has all her friends over and I really don't want to go home to that."
I laugh and say, "Yeah, what do you want to do?"
"There's this cool bowling alley that just opened up near here..?" He suggests.
"Okay, yeah!" I say. "Let me ask Lin real quick."
I run to Sebastian's room and find Lin playing trains on the floor with him.
"Hey, could I go hang out with Ben for a while? He wants to go to a new bowling alley." I ask him.
"Sure, I'll get you some money." he says standing up. He gives me money from his wallet and kisses me on the cheek saying, "Make sure you eat, okay?"
"I will, love you!" I say and leave the room.
I come back out to Ben and say, "Alright let's go."
