"You're my best friend, you know that right?" I ask him.
"Ya.." He whispers, lightly kissing the top of my head.

[Olivia's POV]
The next day, Anthony and I woke up next to each other enjoying the quiet of the cabin. In the city there is almost always sirens blaring and other noises that make it hard to just relax.
"What's on the agenda today?" I asked him.
"Maybe a hike? We could pack some food and eat somewhere in the woods.." He suggests. I nod in agreement and get out of bed finally.
Still wearing my huge school sweatshirt that hung past my athletic shorts, I slipped into some knitted socks and walked out into the kitchen. Anthony followed me in his sweatshirt and sweatpants.
We began to make breakfast, grabbing an old cookbook and setting out the ingredients for pancakes. Anthony brewed us both a cup of coffee.
Sipping from my mug, I measured out some flour and pouring it into a bowl. Anthony cracked in the eggs and the sugar. We finished putting all of the ingredients together and heated up the stove.
After making the pancakes we sat down and ate them. We cleaned up our dishes and packed a lunch for our hike. We quickly got dressed, I put on black leggings, a sweatshirt, and my black nike running shoes.
We began our walk, the forest quickly surrounded us in a thick wall. We walked in silence for the most part, listening to the music on Anthony's phone.
We reached the top of a hill that looked over the large spread of trees that we walked through. We decided to stop and have lunch there seeing as it was around 1 pm.
I laid on my back and looked up into the tree branches above me. Anthony laid next to me and looked up as well.
"My friend does this open mic thing at a coffee shop, I was wondering if you maybe wanted to sing there some time?" Anthony asks me. An open mic, that sounds terrifyingly amazing.
"Ya, I would love too." I reply. I already felt nervous thinking about the live audience that would be watching me, I know that I play in front of thousands of fans on periscope but that is different because it is through a screen not in person.
"I have a question that has been bothering me for a while.. Where does your dog stay? I know it was with you at the theater for a while but I never see it anymore." He asks.
"Sebastian kind of fell in love with her when he met her so I let Lin take her home to live with them. I am over at Lin's all the time so I see her plenty and I wanted to make Seb happy." I say. It was hard work taking care of the dog by myself, having to feed her and take her on walks, I was grateful that Lin took her home even though I miss her company at night.
"You are the most selfless person I know." He says, half laughing.
"Why do you say that?" I curiously ask, twiddling with my thumbs.
"You gave up for your dog for your little brother.. Olivia, you are too kind for this world." He says, turning his head to look at me.
I take a deep sigh and say, "We should get back. Let's bake cookies when we get home!"
I stand up and reach out a hand to pull him off the ground. He grabs onto my hand and jumps up swiftly and brushes the dirt off of his pants.
We hike through the woods back to the cabin, only getting lost twice which Anthony says is a new record.
"Cookie time?" He asks, heading towards the kitchen.
"Heck ya." I reply with a grin and follow him. We get out the cookbook from this morning and set out the ingredients.
"Ok, so 2 cups of flour.." He says as he grabs the bag of flour. When he opens the bag, a spray of powder flies out and lands on his nose, dusting his face with white powder.
I double over and laugh uncontrollably. He smirks and perks up an eyebrow.
"You like that, huh?" He says, he reaches into the bag of flour and flicks some onto me. I gasp and let out a giggle.
He grabs a wet cloth and wipes his face and then gently wipes mine, removing all of the powder.
While waiting for the cookies, we play a card game. The aroma wafts through the house, it smells like the days when my mother used to cook for the school bake sale. I smile at the memory.
Hello everyone, sorry for the late update but I have been crazy busy with school and volleyball. I am trying to write a little bit each day when I have time but I still feel bad for the wait. Please just be patient with me (: I will not stop this story.
How have you been? I am alright, school has been pretty nice actually. My teachers are cool and it's good reuniting with some of my friends.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed. I love you.
