Olivia's Pov
We made our way along the windy path along the beach. I underestimated how cold it was actually going to be today. The only saving grace was that it wasn't raining. Yet. However so far I loved Brighton, something about it just seemed so cosy. I knew before we left to go back to London I would have to bring my camera down to the back so I could take some nice shots on the beach and of the beach huts.
"Do you guys want to walk along the pier first before we go to get lunch"
Alfie asked
"Yeah I'm still a bit full from breakfast"
We all walked along the pier, Alfie and Zoe were ahead of Joe and I leading the way whilst indulged in their own conversation. Joe and I were walking hand in hand laughing at bad jokes we were telling each other
"Ok I've got one"
I grinned
"This pun will Brighton your day"
"Hahaha very funny"
Joe laughed sarcastically
"Fine do you have a better one"
"I do actually"
"Go on then"
"Ok why didn't the toilet paper cross the road"
"Why"
"Because it go stuck in a crack"
"Ewwww your gross"
I said pushing Joe to the side
"Come on it was funny"
"Nope didn't make me laugh"
"Well I'll make you laugh now"
Joe brought his hands up to tickle me but before he could start Zoe directed us into the arcades. I poked my tongue out at Joe before I jogged to keep up with Zoe and Alfie. As we turned round the corner the first thing we were faced with was the Tin Can Ally.
"I'm going to beat you"
Stated Alfie as he handed over the money to the man
"Yeah right"
I scoffed as I watched Alfie as he tried to knock of the cans. His first throw managed to knock off the top three whereas his last two throws didn't knock anything off.
"Watch this is how you do it"
I quickly payed the man the money and he passed me the soft shapes balls to throw at the tins. My first throw was no use but my second throw managed to knock off the top 3 and then my third throw knocked off the middle on on the bottom row.
"Ha I beat you"
I said as I turned to face Alfie.
"Peeps this is how a pro does it"
Joe said pushing me out the way so he could have a go. Surprisingly Joe managed to knock them all of within two of his throws so he won a teddy.
"Here you go"
Joe said passing the teddy to me
"Your so cliché"
I said as I took the teddy out of Joe's arms.
"Ok next up is the arcade"
Zoe said as she entered the small building which was behind us. We followed her in there and she went straight to the Air Hockey Table.
Girls v Boys
After several games, Zoe and I were the rightful winners of Air Hockey as we beat the boys by several points. Who run the world. Girls.
Since we were in the arcade it would be wrong to leave without going on any of the 2p machines and as I had no 2ps in my purse, I changed a pound into 2p's. I made my way to the nearest machine and started slotting my 2p's hoping to win either a prize or more money.
I was down to my last 2p. I hadn't won anything and failed to get any more money so I was hoping this last 2p would satisfy that. There one bit of the machine that had loads of coins that were hanging off the edge but hasn't managed to be knocked off yet so I was going to go over to that but to see if I could nudge them.
I slotted the 2p in and watched as it rolled down the machine and into the middle. Not where I anticipated it to go. But I still had a chance. The coin was pushed further and nothing fell off. Nothing. Well at least I tried.
I walked over to where the boys were standing. They were playing this car riding game where they had to sit in pretend motorcycles. Zoe was standing beside them on her phone obviously a but bored of waiting for everyone.
A few minutes later they boys had finished their game so we all decided to go and grab some lunch and then head back to the house. As we walked back along the pier it seemed that it had warmed up and wasn't as windy as it was on the way there.
We came the way we did before so we walked along the beach as well so we could see across the road on how busy all the cafes were. As we continued walking along we spotted a small quaint cafe which seemed fairly empty so we decided to go there. We say down at a table for 4 and scanned through the menus.
There was so much choice so after changing my mind various times I decided to go for a cheese and ham panini with a glass of fresh apple juice.
Zoe and Alfie chose a chicken and helium wrap and Joe chose a chicken and cheese wrap. The food came fairly quickly and was absolutely delicious. It's fair to say it was the best panini I have had in a while. Once we had all finished the food, Alfie told us he was going to pay even though I had no problem paying for the lunch myself seen as though Zoe and Alfie were kind enough to let us stay over. However he insisted.
Once Alfie had payed we made our way out of the cafe and back down the beach so we could go back to the car, in order to get home. Since we had been in the cafe the weather had changed dramatically and I was suddenly freezing. Not the best outfit I had chosen. I think Joe had noticed me shivering as he removed his coat and passed me to me.
"Nah I'm fine"
"Go on take it, I'm really not cold"
"Your so fucking cliche"
I said as I pushed Joe whilst laughing

Another chapter which is a tiny bit late but we won't mention that. A pretty boring chapter but I promise the next two will be filled with drama and cute cringey moments
