Olivia's Pov
2 weeks later
-4am-
This was the 3rd time this week that I was up again at 4 feeling sick and tired baring in mind its only Thursday. Plus I've been sick more times than the fingers on both my hands. Cameron had phoned up last week saying he couldn't come round as he had been caught up with work so he would have to rain check. And to make matters worse my period is late meaning any day now I'm about to start.
-6am-
In the past 2 hours I've been sick 3 times. There's a part of me that wants to call Joe to ask him to come over but I don't want to disturb him as for the past few days he's been really busy with his new book finishing up the designs and the storyboard. There was times like this when I wished I was still living with my mum because she was my rock. She helped me with everything that I couldn't do myself.
-8am-
I couldn't bear this I was booking an appointment with the doctor now. I grabbed my phone from the coffee table and searched up where the nearest doctors clinic was and got the number from the website
Ring Ring
"Hello how may I help you"
"Well over the past few days I've been really ill and throwing up so I was wondering could I book a doctors appointment for today"
"Sure we've got some time free with Nurse Erica at 10:30 so if you make your way down here then Nurse Erica can see what the problem is"
"Ok thank you very much"
"No problem but could you give me your full name and date of birth"
"Sure Olivia Rose Bently and the 4th of March 1992"
"Ok thank you very much I'll see you at 10:30 goodbye"
"Bye"
I ended the call and placed my phone down. I just have to survive for 2 more hours then I'll be fine. One thing that I knew would make me feel a bit better was a hot bath so I made my way downstairs with my computer and phone and I started to run a warm bath. I put a random bath bomb in and climbed in and opened up my laptop clicking play on a random episode of friends that I had open.
2 hours later
I was ready to leave for the doctors. I was dressed in baggy clothes that weren't fitted so I could easily take them off if need be. I was only taking my phone and my purse so I didn't need to bring my whole handbag. I locked my front door before making my way out of the apartment block and across he road to where my car was parked. i climbed into the car and looked up on my phone the directions to get to the doctors clinic. I placed my phone down so that I could still see it
The car journey wasn't long and by the time I got there it was 20 past 10. I walked into the clinic and up to the front desk where a lady with ginger hair was seated behind
"Hello how can I help you"
"I'm here for an appointment with Nurse Erica"
"Name please"
"Olivia. Olivia Bently"
"Take a seat, Nurse Erica will call you when she's ready"
"Thank you"
I turned around and made my way to the seating area. I hated waiting rooms there was something about it that creeped me out. I wasn't sure weather it was the silence, the anticipation or just waiting. I think it was the waiting. I've always been impatience and the word wait feels me with dread. Waiting gives me time to think, which I hate because I'm an over thinker meaning I over think things to the point where I don't even know what's true or not. There's a saying good things come to those who wait. But what if your waiting too long. Or you don't wait at all. What happens then.
I was knocked out of my thoughts when I heard my name being called.
"Olivia Bently"
I looked up to see what I assumed to be my nurse calling my name. I stood up off of my seat and walked over to where she was standing
"Follow me"
I followed her down the corridor filled with several different doors. Suddenly she stopped and walked into one of the rooms holding the door open for me.
"Take a seat"
I followed her orders and sat down turning a bit to face her.
"So what seems to be the problem"
"Well for the past few days I've been really sick and I've been throwing up a lot"
"Ok are you on your period"
"I was due last week however it hasn't come"
"Ok I'm sorry in advance for this question but when was the last time you had sex"
"A few weeks ago why"
"Ok please wait a minute"
She walked out the room and suddenly it all clicked. Joe must of forgotten to wear a condom meaning severe consequences. I'm not ready. Far from it and I'm guessing neither is Joe. The lady walked back in with a pregnancy test in her hand.
"Here why don't you go into the toilet and try it"
I took the test from her hand and walked into the toilet across the hall. I was stressing out surely I can't be pregnant.
---------------------------------------------
Time was up. I could look at the results. Not that I wanted to. I closed my eyes and and picked up the stick. My fate was all told in weather there was one line or two lines . Positive or negative. I opened my eyes and looked down. Two solid lines.
I'm going to be a mum
