Chapter 36

Olivia's Pov

Joe and I were saying on the blanket both in our underwear looking up at the sky. It was perfect. It was hot, quiet and peaceful and we were both enjoying each others company.

"Thanks Liv"

Joe said breaking the peaceful silence

"What for"

"For forgiving me"

"Everyone deserves a second chance"

"Well thank you for making me happy once again"

I smiled

"What makes you happy Liv

"I'm not sure, lots of things make me happy mostly the small things in life"

It was a good question what did make me happy? What was happiness?

Joe nodded.

"Come on then it's getting latest get going"

I stood up off of the ground and started to put back on my clothes. Luckily the sun had dried me off so my clothes weren't sticking to my body. Joe folded up the blanket and put it inside the hamper before we started to make our long journey back to the car. It was starting to get dark as we had been out for hours and I think we had literally lost track of time.

The car journey home was pretty quiet, just enjoying each others company. Nothing was really needed to be said. When we got back to the apartment Joe walked back with me to my apartment

"Thanks for today Joe"

I said as we reached my apartment door

"No problem I had fun"

"Yeah it was, it was good to get out of the house"

"Well I'm glad you enjoyed"

Just before I was about to say goodbye to Joe I remembered our deal earlier.

"Wait here"

Joe nodded whilst I unlocked my door and walked over to the corner where my bookshelf was. I skimmed through the book titles until I find the right book. I grabbed it and walked back out to Joe

"Here you go"

I said passing the book to Joe.

"Uh seriously I thought you had forgotten about that"

"2 weeks Sugg, 2 weeks to read the book"

"I'll finish it within the week"

Joe scoffed

"Ok then one week to read the book"

"Nah let's just stick with two weeks"

"Bye Joe"

I said laughing

"Bye Liv"

I walked into the apartment and placed down my bag on the side.I pulled at my phone and looked to see if I had any notifications. Surprisingly I did, I had a missed call from Chai. I called him back, after a few times of it ringing, he answered.

"Howdy"

"Hello"

"I called you earlier"

"I know I just saw, I was out with Joe"

"You forgiven him them"

"Forgiven but not forgotten"

"I would't of forgiven him, your too kind hearted"

"Well luckily it's not your choice then isn't it"

"I know, I know, just be careful Liv"

"Don't worry Chai, I'll be fine"

He scoffed

"Don't worry Liv. Last time you go upset you nearly killed yourself. Because of him. You don't deserve that. I can't not worry Liv, what if he upsets you again, what will happen then, you might actually kill yourself"

"Chai ok I know I nearly died ok, I know I was emotionally unstable but I'm fine now ok I've learnt that I should never let anyone's thoughts or actions bring me down. I'll be fine because I've got you and all my other friends to help and look out for me. I will be perfectly fine"

"I trust you"

"Good so was there any particular reason you called or"

"There was, I was wondering if you wanted to go and get lunch tomorrow"

"Sure you can meet me here"

"Ok I'll text you what time I'm coming over"

"Ok then I'll see you tomorrow"

"Bye"

"Bye"

I ended the call and placed my phone into my pocket. I was going straight to bed. Today was literally the most I've done all week. It's tired me out so much. I walked down the stairs and into my bedroom. I got changed into a pair of pyjamas that I found laying around. I climbed into bed and scrolled on my phone for about half an hour before calling it and night and going to sleep

Sorry for the shorter chapter and me being so inactive guys. I've been so busy with school lately I just haven't had a chance to write anything however I still wanted to get a chapter up today. Who would of thought that the second week back to school I would already be drowning in homework
