Chapter 26

Olivia's Pov

I was getting ready for my date tonight with Joe and I had no clue on what to wear. He said to keep it fancy but casual and warm like what on earth do I wear with that description. The only person who I knew could help me was Zoe. I walked out of my room and knocked on Zoe's door to find the sitting on the bed with her laptop.

"Zoe can you help me"

"Sure what's up"

"Do you know where Joe is taking me"

"Yes?"

She questioned not really sure where I was going with this

"Will you help me find an outfit"

"Of course"

Zoe followed me into 'my' room and she looked through all my clothes that I had spread along the bed in a process of finding something to wear.

"Ok what about these"

Zoe said picking up my pair of disco pants

"What with"

Zoe ran off into her room and came back holding a pair of shoes and a jumper. The jumper was red a white striped. The whole outfit was very casual and warm but with the right amount of jewellery and makeup I could make it more fancy. The shoes Zoe had also picked up made the outfit overall perfect. I got changed into my outfit and then went into the bathroom so I could do my hair and makeup.

I started off with makeup. No foundation as I knew Joe didn't like it so I just kept with concealer. A lot of it. Powder to keep the concealer in place, contour to add some shape to my face, bronzer as I was pale. Very pale. Blush to add some colour back into my face. Onto eyes. Before I did my eye makeup I quickly put in my contact lenses so I didn't have to wear my glasses. Then I did a subtle pink smokey eye and a very thin layer of eyeliner before coating my eyelashes with tons of mascara. To finish everything off I added a pinky nude matte lipgloss.

Onto hair. I kept my hair in the half up half down style but curled the ends so it looked a bit more presentable and nice. I was done. Thank the Lord. That was effort.

I quickly sprayed myself with some perfume and placed a simple silver necklace on with a small bat hanging down from it. I placed some studs in my ears and put on the pandora princess ring which my mum had brought for me for my 18th birthday. I put on my shoes which were wedged black boots and grabbed my bag and made my way downstairs so I could meet Joe and we could go. As I came down the stairs I took in Joe's appearance who was wearing a pair of black jeans and a white tee with a black leather jacket over the top paired with a pair of black trainers.

"Shall we go?"

I questioned once I reached the bottom of the stairs

"Yeah we will see you guys later"

"Bye"

I shouted back to them. I heard a chorus of bye's and just before we left the house, Joe turned to me and said

"You might want to bring a coat"

I grabbed my coat which was a green parker jacket and placed it over my arm as I didn't want to put it on just yet. I guessed Zoe was letting Joe borrow her car as Joe unlocked the mini and climbed in it waiting for me to join. I sat down in the familiar seat and plugged in my seatbelt before turning up the radio so the music was blearing through the speakers.

I didn't dare to ask Joe were we were going as I knew he wouldn't give me any answers and to be frankly I love surprises. After being in the car for about 10 minutes Joe pulled up outside of a restaurant whose name I could not remember. I was quite confused why Joe asked me to bring a coat if we were going to be seating inside. Joe caught on that I was a bit confused and said

"You won't need the coat just yet so you can leave it in the car"

I nodded at him and climbed out of the car grabbing my bag but leaving my coat inside. I walked round to where Joe was and he grabbed my hand leading me inside. A lady standing behind the front desk and asked us if we had booked a table

"Yes table for Sugg"

"Right this way"

She lead us round to a table which was right next to a window. The section that we were in only had another two tables filled so other than that we were all alone. The decor in the restaurant was beautiful, there wasn't any proper lights so instead fairy lights were scattered all across the building, as well as candles lighting up every table. Photos were hanging down from the wall from a sea side view to a busy city. The whole building was beautiful.

I scanned through the menu to search for what I wanted and as there was so much choice I played it safe by going for a margarita pizza.

"What are you going to have"

I asked Joe as I placed my menu down looking straight at him

"Um I think I'm going to go for the steak what about you"

"Margarita pizza"

I smiled

"Your so boring"

Joe said as he mocked my choice

"Hey"

Dinner was very enjoyable, throughout the meal there was never any silence. That's one of the good things about Joe and I, we can talk about anything anywhere and we will never get board with each other or run out of things to say. Joe being the gentleman he is paid for the dinner. I knew it was no use auguring with him as no matter how much I insist to pay half he always ends up winning.

We were now in the car on our way to the second part of the date which I had no idea where we were going to end up. The car journey was only about 5 minutes and just before the car came to a stop I realised where we were the beach. Now I see why I needed a coat. Joe parked the car right beside the path next to the beach before climbing out and running around to my side to open the door for me. I thanked him and climbed instantly being hit with the cold breeze. I filled around and pulled on my coat which made me a tiny bit warmer.

Joe took hold of my hand and lead me down to the beach and we both sat down on the stones wrapped in each others arms watching the waves crash against the stones.

"Ok Liv I have to tell you something"

Joe said turning to face me

"What is it"

"Ok ever since I met you Liv, I knew you were special there was just something about you that I knew I already loved. But as I got to know you more I knew I was falling for you. It was the little details about you that made me realise how much I like you, like the fact how you play around with you thumbs when your nervous or scared or how you can't use a public toilet without gagging. And all these little things Liv make you, you and overtime they have come a part of me too. What I'm trying to say is well I love you Liv"

Hearing those 3 words made me feel special and made me realise that Joe had become a huge part of my life and I couldn't live without him. I love him

"I love you too Joe"

I said wiping away the tears that had fallen down my face. Joe held my face in his hands and pressed his lips onto mine. It wasn't a long kiss but it was meaningful and I knew I wouldn't be forgetting about it anytime soon. Tonight was perfect and I got to share with the boy I love.

I rested my head on Joe's shoulder and began to quietly sing the lyrics of Kiss me by Ed Sheeran.

"This feels like falling in love"

Joe noticed the familiar tune and began to sing along with me

"Falling in love"

"We're falling in love"

It was true we loved each other and we were falling deeper every day

Hope you enjoyed the chapter which is up on time. Quite a soppy chapter but they said the L word and the next chapter will be a bit more about their relationship including a bit of drama.
