Chapter 39

Olivia's Pov

We were both back home now. Joe had gone off to a meeting so I was back at my apartment. We had gotten a few photos of the scan that we could give or show family or friends, which reminded me as it's all come to context and realism I need to phone and tell my mum which is what I am going to do right now.

I picked up my phone and dialled mums number and waited, New York was only 5 hours ahead of London so I knew she wouldn't be asleep yet as it was only 9 o clock over there.

"Hello?"

"Hi mum"

"Oh hi Livvy how are you doing"

"I'm great mum what about you"

"I'm fine, I'm missing you lots though darling"

"I'm missing you too, I'll come and visit soon yeah?"

"Yeah or I can come out too you"

"Whatever you want to do mum, I don't mind either"

"Ok where you calling for anything in particular darling or do you just want to talk"

"Yeah well I've got something to tell you"

"What is it?"

"Just remember I love you so much"

I said with tears prickling at my eyes

"Your scaring me sweetie, what is it?"

"I'm pregnant"

I replied as a tear fell down my face

"Oh Livvy I thought there was something wrong"

I sighed

"So you not angry"

"Of course not it's your life as longs as your happy I'm happy"

I cried even more

"Oh mum I thought you were going to be angry or disappointed in me"

"Sweetie don't be silly, I could never be disappointed in you, I'm so proud of you"

"Thanks mum"

"How long have you known for"

"About 3 weeks"

"Livvy you should of told me"

"I know mum and I'm sorry"

"So I'm guessing that boyfriend of yours is the father"

"Yeah Joe"

"Was he happy?"

"He wasn't, he didn't want the baby or me and then he came to terms and realised what he had done and asked for forgiveness. It took a while but I forgave him and now were going to start a family"

"As long as your happy with him that's all that matters but I would like to meet the boy"

"Mum your all the way in America so unless we come ovary can't meet him"

"Over FaceTime or skype silly"

"Sure he's not here right now so tomorrow"

"Of course I didn't mean right now"

"I know mum"

"I love you lots Liv, you know that"

"I know mum and I love you even more"

"Ok listen I'm going to go and get some rest as I have a meeting tomorrow early ok so I'll speak to you and that boy of your tomorrow"

"Ok I love you"

"I love you too"

"Bye"

"Bye Livvy"

I ended the call and slouched down on the sofa. It was stupid, I got myself so worked up about telling her and her reaction that I forgot it doesn't matter. None of it matters as long as I'm happy with myself and the life I'm living thats all I need; and I am happy, with my life and with myself
