There's not much to be said about my flight. It was long and boring and consisted of mostly Netfix.

Buuttt...

I get off the plane, grab my luggage, and call an uber that appears a few minutes later. I tell him the address that Vikk sent me, and we are off. I call Vikk and it goes to voicemail, so I leave a quick message.

"Hey Vikk. Just wanted to let you know that I'm here, and Australia is really pretty."

Yes. I said that. Cringe all you want.

About half an hour later, the uber drops me off at a very nice and big white house. Seriously. I think my mouth fell to the ground. I gasp in awe as I look at the beautiful two story place, but then focus my eyes on the sky as a loud clap of thunder strikes the area. Not even a second later, it starts to heavily poor.

Really?!

I walk the short distance to the front door as I try and recall the man's name.

Luke? No.... Liam... No... Lachlan?! Maybe. I try to remember, ringing the doorbell.

A couple seconds later, someone opens the door. I internally gasp as he opens the door just wide enough for the light to peer through and so I can see his face. My heart skips a beat as I look at his stylish hair and nice, kissable lips, but what really catches me is his eyes. His eyes look like they have been blessed from the gods. They are a stunning deep blue color, where I could get lost in for hours. He has slightly broad shoulders and is at least seven inches taller than me.

I snap back into reality as the man asks, "You okay there, stranger?"

"Yeah... Uhmmm... Do you by any chance know a... Lachlan Power?" I ask, hoping I got the name right.

He smirks. "Well... You're looking at him."

"Oh!" I respond, shocked.

"What brings you here?" He curiously asks, slightly furrowing his eyebrows, as if he's serious.

"I'm Caitlin Davis. Vikkram Barn sent me here." I reply, and he immediately pulls me inside.

"You're the girl?" He asks, and I nod, slightly unsure. "Stay here." He says, taking off.

And then I remember that I am soaked. I rub my arms and look around Lachlan's place.

"It's my parents'." Lachlan says to my right, a towel in hand.

"Wow. It's nice." I respond as he hands me the towel.

"Yeah. Wish I could show you the backyard though." He says.

"What? Do you have kangaroos there?" I joke.

"Once. He hopped over the fence and into our yard." Lachlan responds, and I giggle.

"I would pay to see that."

Lachlan smiles and grabs one of my suitcases. "Follow me." He says, and I do. I follow him up the stairs, to the right, and a couple doors down. He opens a room, which turns out to be white with a bed facing the windows and a dresser.

"You'll be staying here. My bedroom is right across from yours, so if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask." He says, and I nod. "Also, the bathroom is next to my room. We'll have to share, but you'll get used to it."

"Alright, thank you." I sincerely respond.

"Yeah. The only thing I ask of you is to tell me why you came here." He says, straightforward.

"Well, that was blunt." I point out.

"So was what you just said." He says, slowly backing out of the room.

"What?" I ask, but he already closed the door.

A trace of a smile makes its way onto my lips as I know that I did not make a mistake by coming here.

I hop out of the shower and slip on some fresh and comfortable clothes and brush my hair. Once I am finished, I grab my phone from my new bedroom and head down to the living room, where Lachlan sits on the couch.

"Hi, Lachlan." I say, and mentally slap myself.

"Hey." He says, and I sit on the couch a little bit away from him.

I take a deep breath. "Alright. I'll just get right to the point and tell you everything."

He turns to me, turning the TV off. "Go ahead. I'm all ears."

And that's what I do. I tell him everything; from Alex and my father to my best friend, Autumn.

"That's rough." Lachlan says as I finish telling him.

"Yeah, well..." I sigh.

"I don't entirely agree with your decision to come here, but I completely understand some of the reasons why you did." He says, and I pout.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I ask, crossing my arms over my actually somewhat large chest.

"For starters, you should just forgive your father." He says, and I scowl.

"No."

"But-"

"No. Not now, not ever."

"I'll convince you one day." He says.

"I'd like to see you try." I respond.

"Challenge accepted." He says, and I roll my eyes.

"Tell me something about yourself." I say.

"What?" He asks.

"Tell. Me. About. Yourself." I reply, stressing each word.

Lachlan chuckles. "Alright, alright. Um... There's nothing really too interesting about me. I mean, I guess I do YouTube." I burst into laughter. I have such an inappropriate mind. "What?" Lachlan asks, clueless.

"Is it even possible to 'do' YouTube?" I ask him, my immature mind completely taking over.

The tips of Lachlan's ears turn slightly red as he realizes what he said. "Wow... Woowwww... I have to live with a girl with a dirty mind.... Please help me." He says, and I giggle.

"I'm not thaatt bad."

"Sure you aren't."

"What's that supposed to mean?" I chuck a pillow at him, and he smiles.

I can already tell that we will be really good friends.
