A few days later, my leg heals and I walk around the house downstairs. Lachlan is out with his friends while I am doing nothing.

Suddenly, my phone rings. Confused as to who is calling, I look at the caller id.

It's Autumn.

My heart rate picks up. What should I do?

I sigh, knowing exactly what I have to do. I decline the call and decide to text JJ the situation.

She's been going ballistic, man. JJ replies a few minutes later. She's worried sick.

Doesn't she know that I need a break?

Yeah, but she's your best friend. Best friends tell each other everything. Immediately, I notice the change in slang. (A/N: luv u JJ) The person typing on this phone is not JJ. It's Autumn.

Sorry, Autumn took my phone. JJ responds.

I can tell. I reply, but the guilt starts to sink in. Maybe I should go back.... I pout, slightly sad.

The front door opens and I turn my head towards the familiar blonde haired Australian. I immediately rush to him and wrap my arms around his neck.

"W-woah. You okay?" He asks, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Autumn tried calling, and she stole JJs phone to text me." I reply, buried in his chest.

"Alright, so?" He asks, and I let go of him.

"I think she wants me to go back." I sigh, looking anywhere but him. He's just gonna agree with her cause I've been a nuisance. He's probably happy to get rid of me.

"W-w-w-what?" Lachlan stutters. "Y-you can't leave!" He exclaims, and immediately my eyes are on him, incredulous.

"Why? Aren't I a nuisance?" I ask.

"Yes, but you're my nuisance!" He says, pulling me in for another hug. "And I don't want you to be anyone else's." He mutters into my hair, making me blush.

"Thanks, Lachy." I whisper.

"You ready for the party?" Lachlan asks from his room. One of his buds is hosting a party, and Lachlan begged me to come with him.

"Almost!" I respond, putting my last earring in. I am wearing a short red dress that ends just above my knees along with small silver earrings, makeup and my favorite red lipstick.

Once I mentally prepare myself for Lachlan's reaction, I open the door. Please don't hate it please don't hate it please don't hate it. Lachlan stands just outside my door and gasps, trying to hold it in.

"So, what do you think?" I ask, twirling for him as I nervously blush.

"Y-you look... Nice." He says, and I immediately know that I have been friendzoned. Fuck. (A/N: me too, me too.)

"Nice? Is that all you have to say?!" I ask, slapping him.

"Ow! What else am I supposed to say?!" He asks, rubbing his arm where I slapped him.

"Why, Caitlin. You look absolutely charming." I offer. "Or, Caitlin, you look stunning."

"But that would be stepping the friend boundary." Lachlan points out, making my heart drop.

"No it does not! You idiot!" I respond, slapping him again. At that moment, I take notice of his outfit. He is in a simple black dress pants and top along with a red tie, but he still manages to make it look sophisticated and handsome. "Wait. How did we manage to match?!" I ask, blushing.

"Dunno." Lachlan replies, shrugging his shoulders.

"Did you peek at my dress? That definitely goes past the friendship boundary." I point out, using his exact words against him.

"Maybe." Lachlan bashfully says.

"Wow." I respond, slightly smiling and pushing past him. He follows me and we walk out the door. Lachlan opens the passenger door for me and I step inside. True gentleman. "Thanks."

"Yep." Lachlan responds, getting in the drivers side. "Let's go have some fun!"
