True to his words, Lachlan stopped on the way back to get me mint chocolate chip ice cream. We share the ice cream while watching The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Totally date material, am I right?
Actually, Lachlan and I both share a love for action movies and we both aren't too big on classy dates.
"Yes! Gandalf!" I squeal as I see one of my all time favorite characters appear in front of the army.
A few minutes later, Thorin battles the evil leader as I am starting to cry due to the deaths of two dwarves. "Noooo!!! Don't take Thorin tooooo!!" I beg, although I have seen this movie too many times to know what will happen. "Thoriiinnn!!!" I discard the ice cream as I fall against Lachlan's chest, unable to watch as he dies.
Lachlan hugs me tightly. "He kind of deserved that. After all, he would've turned evil, like the rulers before him." Lachlan says.
"He was too young." I dramatically respond.
"He's been alive for ages; he had it coming." Lachlan says, and I have no choice to agree.
"As long as they don't take Gandalf from me again, I can deal with it." I reply, although I know perfectly well that Gandalf can fend for himself easily. His capture was... just an accident.
"Gandalf is a bad ass, he can get out of anything." Lachlan says, causing me to smile.
"Yaassssss." I agree. As the movie comes to a close, I stand up, walking to the kitchen while trying to come up with something to eat.
"What do you want to eat?" I ask Lachlan.
"Whatever you're in the mood for." He responds.
Hmmmmmmmmm....
My eyes suddenly light up as I come up with an idea. "I'm making sesame chicken!" I yell, grabbing the ingredients and making it. Once I'm finished, I call Lachlan to the table where we both eat.
And we watch two more movies until my eyes start to fall until darkness consumes me.
~ DREAM
I open my eyes to see my father and my mother arguing; about what, I have no idea. I look down at my body to realize I'm still a child, which makes sense."Goddammit!" My father tells in frustration, pulling at his hair and biting his lip.
I notice the sudden change in atmosphere, and it seems my mother does as well. It is at that moment that Ben walks through the door. She motions with her eyes towards me and Ben nods, grabbing my hand and pulling me from my toys.
"Waaaahhhhhh..." And inhumane cry escapes from my lips.
"Come quietly." Ben mutters, dragging me out the house.
And then I hear it.
The sound of glass breaking.
"M-mommy!" I yell for her, trying to turn around.
"Caitlin, no! You can't go back right now!" Ben yells, grabbing and restraining me.
"B-but mama..." I whisper, starting to cry.
~"I'm done. Absolutely done. See you guys never." Father says, walking out the door.
It is at that moment that mama falls to the ground, crying.
First we lost Ben, and now papa? As much as he scares me he was still my dad...
"If you ever think I'm your father, you're wrong. You were just a mistake, and always will be." He says, looking back at me once more before walking away for forever.
"M-mama..." I whisper, dropping next to her and hugging her.
After that, she stopped walking, talking and eating. We grew really poor because we had no money and mama just grew weaker and weaker until... Until she was no more.
~ End of dream
I wake up, tears pouring down my face. The reason why I never want to see my father again, despite my mothers' advice, was because he disowned me.He called me a mistake.
What should I do? Mama would want me to see him, as her last wish was to see him. But I can't. I can't forgive him, no matter how many people try I will never go back to him.
"I can't do it, godammit!" I scream into my pillow. "I can't fucking do it." I say, calming myself down. "There's no way I can ever face dad or Alex again... There's no way."
~
"So, have you decided yet?" Lachlan asks as he is editing a video."No." I respond from his lap, looking at the wall behind Lachlan. I tighten my grip around his neck. "I-I just really don't want to go but I feel like I have to."
Like dis ^
"I get it." He says. "Although I still think you should go."
"Ugh!" I complain, tears starting to fill my eyes. I wipe them away and bury my head into his shoulder. "I hate my life! Why does it have to be so confusing?!"
Lachlan doesn't respond, and I don't blame him. "I think you need to stop stressing out so much; have fun, live a little." He says. I pull back enough to see his face.
"You're right." I respond.
"See?" He says, smiling. "We should go to the beach again. It's relaxing." He adds, causing me to throw my head back, laughing.
"In fall? It's almost winter, Lachlan."
"So?" He says, raising a brow and causing me to internally faint. Dammit, Lachlan!
"Sooooo, that means the water has got to be getting cold." I add, emphasizing 'so'.
"Not in Australia." He says, causing me to smile.
"Alright, Australian guy number one." I chuckle.
"Wait, who's Australian guy number two?" He asks.
"Rob." I say, smiling.
"Well, I'm number one and that's all that matters!" He proudly says.
"You'll always be number one in my books, Lachlan." I say, blushing.
"Ooooooooooohh is little Miss Caitlin Davis trying to be a flirt?" Lachlan says, causing me to roll my eyes, standing up.
"You wish. I just gave you a very sweet complement."
"Same thing." He cheekily smiles at me.
"Whatever. Be ready in an hour." I state.
"Yes! Beach!" He praises, and I roll my eyes, getting ready for the day.
