I open the door to my old apartment and walk inside, dropping my coat on a nearby hook and sitting down on the couch. Lachlan follows suit and sits down right next to me, making me blush slightly.

Hopefully he doesn't notice.

"You gonna tell me now?" I ask, turning to face him.

Lachlan sighs, running a hand through his hair. "I'll have to ask you something first." He says, and I nod. "Who really was that guy you were with the other day?"

My eyes slightly widen but I answer his question, deciding to tell him the truth. "He's actually my brother."

Lachlan's eyes slightly light up, and I am unable to figure out why. "He's your brother? You never told me you had a brother."

"I didn't really know either; at least, until the other day when he pulled me aside to show me Aut's ex rays." I respond.

"Alright." He says, slightly smiling and the depressing aurora around him fading away. He starts to stand up, but I grab him by the end of his shirt.

"Don't think you'll get away that easily." I say, forcing him to sit back down.

"What do you want, Cait?" He asks.

"Why do you care so much that that guy was my brother?" I ask, crossing my arms over my chest.

Lachlan looks around, nervous. "I-I um..." Suddenly, his phone goes off and I sigh, standing up.

I'm not gonna get anything out of him so I'd best be packing for tomorrow.

I walk into my bedroom and pack my suitcase, grabbing a couple more items from around my room, and putting it by the door.

Suddenly, a very important thought forms in my head, and I immediately blush.

Where is Lachlan gonna sleep?

I know. He shouldn't sleep on the couch or on the ground, so he can have my bed and I'll take Autumn's.

I pick up my phone and check the time.

Shit.

3:07 a.m.

How the fuck did we manage to stay up this late? Our flight leaves in four hours.

I walk back to the small living room and notice Lachlan sitting down on the couch, watching Pokemon.

"Lachlan, guess what time it is." I say, sitting next to him.

"Uh... 12." He says.

"Nope. It's 3 fucking a.m." I respond, trying to rub the sleep away from my eyes.

"Well... Shit." He replies.

"Sooo.... You can take my bed and I'll just take Autumn's for a few hours and then we are off back to Australia." I yawn at the end.

"Or you could just sleep with me." He jokes, making me slightly blush but giggle.

"In your dreams."  I smile, lightly hitting him with a pillow.

"I didn't mean that type of sleep; I meant the one where we literally fall asleep." He says, raising his eyebrows. "We've napped and slept together."

"I'm good." I reply, trying to keep my cool.

What's going on right now? Lachlan's trying to get me to sleep with him? That's so unlike him. He's normally very considerate and caring towards me.

Another thought forms.

Does he like me?

No; that would be ridiculous. He's an Internet sensation and has many fan girls that are way prettier than me at his disposal. He doesn't like me.

"Cmon Cait; let's have a sleepover." Lachlan begs, and I raise an eyebrow at his childish behavior.

"All right, what the heck." I give in, walking into my bedroom to grab some clothes and changing in the bathroom.

I walk back into my bedroom to see Lachlan sprawled on the bed. He notices me and scoots over as I turn off the lights and crawl in on my side. He turns so that his back is facing my own.

"Night." We both say at the same time, making me slightly smile.

A few minutes pass, and Lachlan rolls onto his other side and presses his back to my chest, wrapping his arms around my waist.

I smile to myself, feeling safe and protected in his arms.

And a new feeling that I've been trying to avoid returns.

Sparks.

It's there.
